Fire vs Water (MINICAT)

Chapter 23 (part three)

Third person:

It was hot, to hot for the boy. He sat up and looked around but soon regretted his decision. Every single tree he could see was burning, the once beautiful meadow he had come across was now burning in fire. He sat up rubbing his eyes to see if he was dreaming but once taking his hands away from his face he realized he wasn't. His head started pounding causing him to groan out in pain. That's when he noticed that there was a circle around him, untouched by the fire. He sat up quickly as his breathing turned into heavy breathing. He looked up to see that the sky was black, not a single blue could be seen. He slowly stood up, stumbling slightly but soon he got his balance. He looked around him once again, asking himself how he got here. He soon started remembering what had happened and tears threaten to spill from his eyes but he held them back. His hands turned into fists as he could feel the heat starting to rise within him.

A sudden bang caught the attention of the boy making his head turn in the direction that it came from. "LUKE!" A voice he knew all to well yell out. His eyes grew wide as he started running in the direction of the voice. He soon came across the path him and Wildcat would always meet up at, seeing Jonathan holding Luke's unconscious body in his arms. The boys breathing hitched as a Lump formed in his throat, a single tear rolling down his cheek at the sight of his boyfriend being hurt. He hid behind a tree as he watched, then his eyes went wide as they landed on him. Max, he was smirking and looking around at everyone else that the boy had just noticed now were there. They were the other Phoenix's, (Note, Craig did not find out that the others were phoenix's, only Tyler) They had all been hurt, the boy looked around desperately for the water phoenix. His eyes caught Max making his way over to a tree, he could not see if there was a person in front of the tree as he was behind the tree he was approaching.

Craig moved to a different tree, being quiet as to not grab their attention. He was now hiding behind a different tree, this time he could see where Max was going. His eyes fell upon another boy, his suit/jacket covered in dirt and blood so it was hard to see what phoenix he was. Max kneeled in front of the man, grabbing his chin making him look into his eyes. Craig could not see what colour the man's eyes were as he was not facing the right direction. The man suddenly pushed Max off him sending him flying into the sky. The man stood up, holding onto his side and leaning against the tree. Max brushed himself off as he approached the man again, stopping at about 10 feet in front of him. Max lifted his hand up towards the man as a black ball of energy was formed. Craig's eyes went wide as he started panicking, he didn't know if he should help or not. If he helped that means all of these people would probably want to kill him, besides for Jonathan and Luke.

"Fuck it." He spoke as fire formed in his hands. He aimed it up towards Max then shot it, sending him flying across the sky. Everyone's eyes went in the direction that Craig was in. He saw no point in hiding now as he slowly walked out. His hood was up so they couldn't see his face. Craig was closest to Jonathan, Luke and some other person, probably the angel phoenix if he had to guess. He kneeled down beside Jonathan as he took Luke in his arms. "C-Craig?" The angel phoenix spoke causing Craig's head to turn to him, cocking an eyebrow then his eyes went wide. "Moo?" He spoke back. Craig looked back towards Jonathan then back to Moo. "We thought you were dead!" Moo shouted as he hugged Craig. Craig was confused until one thought came to mind. "B-Brock?" he stuttered. Craig hugged him back just as tightly as he buried his head into his shoulder. "Brock stay here, I'm going over to Evan." Jonathan spoke as he got up. Craig's eyes went wide as he stared at Brock, then a thought came to mind.

Craig looked around quickly seeing all the other phoenix's approaching them. "So you're Mini?" Brock asks as he starts healing Luke. "Yeah, but right now is not the time." Craig spoke as he looked back to Max. "C-Craig? I-is that r-really y-you?" A Irish voice spoke from behind him. He turned his head to be met with another phoenix, the energy phoenix. "How come you all know who I am?" He asks as he cocks his eyebrow at the rest of the man who were coming over to them. "Craig, it's us." Another voice says. Craig was severely confused as he looked around at the five men surrounding him.

At that moment Craig knew exactly who these people were. His eyes started watering but then a thought cane to mind. "Tyler." He whispered to himself, not expecting the others to hear him. "Wait where's Wildcat?" He asks as he looks among the others for answers. But once he looks at them all he realized who they were. "Basically, Lui, terrorizer, Nogla?" He asks as the others nod. "Wait then that means-" he cut himself off as he looked at the man he had saved before, his eyes going wide as he realized who it was. Tears started forming as they rolled down his face.

Max was just now starting to get up from the sudden attack. Craig saw this and stood up, moving to the middle of the field. Max looked around until he laid them on Craig, smirking as he cracked his knuckles, Craig doing the same.

"We meet again, Thompson."
