That Thing Called Love

First Encounter

Nini's POV

Today is Saturday and I just woke up from my sleep. I never really got to see my moms come home last night. I was so tired I didnt even remember what time I fell asleep.

I got up from my bed and went straight downstairs. As I was about to go to the kitchen I can smell the food my mom is cooking from here.

"Hey Mama D hmmm smells great out here.." I said as I sat down at the kitchen counter.

"Well good morning to you too Nini." My mom smiles at me "Breakfast?" My mom asked as I nodded my head like a child.

Mom gave me my plate and put some eggs and bacons in it. "So how was yesterday? We came home at like 11 in the evening and you were already asleep so we did not bother to wake our baby up." She said before kissing my forehead.

"I guess I am too tired. I took a walk and sorta jog yesterday."

"Well that explains why"

"And guess who I met yesterday the café?" I said smiling at my mom.

"Who?" She asked

"Gina! Amazing right? We got to talk a little bit more and how come you did not let them have dinner here ever since we came back? I can't handle staying in my bed alone all day long" I said giving my mom a pout.

"I see you and Gina met already. That is what I was going to tell you last night. Your Aunt Jane called me and she told me to have dinner here next week as soon as she finish work. And you could hang out more now with Gina just like old times. I missed baking chocolate chip cookies for you two."

"Aww looking forward to it mom... uhm hey mom can I ask you something?" I said before I was about to eat my bacon

"What is it hun" mom said looking at me.

I sat sat straight before I started to ask the question. "So Gina kinda invited me at her house tonight at her party.. and she wanted me to meet her friends can I come?"

"Also don't tell Aunt Jane Gina is hosting this party." I quickly added and almost said it in a whisper.

"I didn't know that's Gina's thing now... but fine sure honey.. that idea is actually nice for you know.. for you to finally meet new people out there. I know how much you missed your friends out there in LA. But please just don't drink too much okay."

"Geez mom, you know I don't do that. Just meet new people remember?" I chuckle.

"Okay okay.. and also fine I am not telling aunt Jane. But I am driving you there tonight."

"Thanks mom!" I said giving her a hug.

"No problem sweetie. Now eat up." Mom said pulling out from the hug before kissing my forehead before heading out of the kitchen as I continued to swallow my food.

A couple of hours later....

Okay so Gina's party will start at 8 so i still have an hour to prepare for the party. I can't really decide what to wear right now so I just decided to go for something simple.

Who am I trying to impress anyway.

So I looked for my dark colored ripped jeans and white crop top and slipped them on and grabbed my pair of high heel boots and my leather jacket. I curled my hair, put some light make up on as I glanced at my final look in the mirror, grab my purse before going downstairs.

Its almost 8.

"Mom I'm ready!" I yelled at my mom who is upstairs.

"Okay honey wait a sec just have to find my key- oh nevermind found it!" Mom said hurrying herself downstairs.
