As the night progressed, Clarke, Finn, Harper and I danced away, Clarke becoming a little wobbly at times. She seemed to have drank a lot more than the rest of us, or maybe she was just a light weight? After all, she was a small girl. We continued dancing, Clarke getting closer to me, hands in the air, smiling like crazy. She was pretty cute, I couldn't deny it, but the thought of the bruises lining her back still lingered.

Suddenly, I turned around to Clarke sitting on the ground in a ball, trying not to get stood on. I pulled her up from under her arms and led her away holding tightly on to her hand, making sure I wouldn't loose her.

We looked around the crowded mansion of a house and up the marble staircase into a guest room. She crashed face first onto the perfectly made small double bed, it's crisp white duvet bound to get covered in Clarke's makeup. She sat up,
"Clarke," I sat beside her, she took my hand.
"You know, I really like you, you're nice," a tear began to run down her cheek so I caught it and wiped it away with my thumb.

I pulled her in to a hug, it was like I was protecting her from something. What? I don't know yet, but I was going to find out.

She looked up at me, her big blue eyes meeting mine and suddenly she moved closer. It looked like she was going to kiss me, but I knew she wasn't in the right frame of mind, so I leant back. Her face looked disappointed, embarrassed, but I wasn't one to take advantage.

She started giggling, "come on Lexa, you can do what ever you want to me."
Her speech was slurred and her eyes moved randomly around the room, she'd drank way too much. But her words scared me.
I asked, "What do you mean my that Clarke?"

At this point she was laying down staring at the ceiling.
"You know. What ever you want, I won't fight it." Her words brought my mind back to the bruises on her delicate back and I saw this moment as my opportunity to find out the truth.

"Clarke?" She rolled over towards me.
"Has anyone been hurting you? You'd tell me right?"
Her smile dropped away and she suddenly curled up into a ball, she was vulnerable.
"You can't tell okay? He's dangerous."

I could tell she was opening up to me. But suddenly we were joined by a very drunk Finn.
"Hey ladies! Found you finally,"
I gave him a serious look,
"Hey Finn, I think I'm going to get Clarke home. She's had a bit too much to drink."
He gave me a puppy dog face and put an arm around me,
"Come on guys, it's only... 3am! Party's just starting." I picked up his arm from around my shoulder and placed it next to him.
"We're alright Finn, you carry on. Have a good night and we'll see you on Monday."

I quickly texted Indra to pick us up and take us back to Clarke's to which she agreed. By this point, Clarke was nearly asleep so I persuaded Finn to help me get her into the car.
"How was it girls?" Indra asked, half asleep.
I half heartedly smiled, "yeah it was good, thanks.

Soon enough we were pulled up outside the tall thin building, Clarke starting to sober up a little. She gave me a look and asked me to see her inside, so I walked her in and took her to her room.
"Stay Lexa, please?" I couldn't say no to those big blue eyes.
I quickly ran out to Indra and asked if it was alright with her. She was happy I was making friends and as long as I stuck by the story, she didn't care what I did.

Once I entered back into Clarke's room, she was already sprawled across the bed half asleep.
"Clarke, come on," I whispered
"You need to get changed."
She sat up slowly, rubbing her eyes.
"I think I'll need some help," she said extremely slowly.

I picked out some of her pyjamas and unzipped her dress, my hand running along the bruises. She slipped out of it and struggled to pull on the top, until I helped her.
I gave her some shorts and started to find something I could borrow. I changed into a vest top and shorts and looked over to Clarke.
She smiled, waving me over to the bed and of course I compiled.

She rolled over to face me, brushing a strand of hair behind my ear.
"Thank you, for tonight. You're a good person, Lexa." I couldn't tell if it was the alcohol talking, but she seemed to have sobered up a bit since we got back.
She rolled back over and whispered,
"Cuddle me?" In a cute voice.
I wrapped my arm around her, her warmth radiating onto me. It didn't take me long to fall asleep and by the sound of Clarke's gentle snoring, It didn't take her long either.
