Five Senses

Chapter 1 - Humble Beginnings

I find myself laying on a bed.It is the morning.The sun is slowly creeping up on me.I open my eyes fully and look to my left.I see a nightstand and on it an alarm clock.It is 6:59 AM.I hold my hand on the snooze button.The alarm starts beeping.I try to press the button but I am overwhelmed by the feeling of the touch.It feels so real.I could not get enough of it.It was beautiful.But soon I realized that I had to snooze the alarm.I pressed the button.It was 7:01 AM.I step out of my bed again being overwhelmed by the sense of standing on the ground.It was beautiful.As I put my clothes on I get greeted by "my mom" who told me that I am alone the all day because she had an all-day meeting.I told her that I will be fine on my own.She passes a plate with a sandwich to me.My heart starts beating...fast.I put the sandwich in my mouth and enjoy the hundreds of flavours I feel in that one bite.I didn't know what it was but it made me feel complete I it tasted so good.But unfortunately soon the sandwich started disappearing.My taste turned metal my sense of me sitting on my chair was gone.All those sweet feelings disappeared.Soon I woke up in a pod.As I was slowly waking up the wires from the sides disconnected from me and the glass roof started opening.When that process finished I climbed out of the pod.

-"Alright Mr. Pack you scored an A+ on the human acting part however your heart gave us a complete different look on the whole story and it seemes you are not yet ready to leave the facility so...a D+ for now. Ok?"

-"Yeah Mrs. T  I get it. I will go to my room now."

-"Ok."

As I went to the dressing room I felt sad.Yet another year I can't go to earth.I can't live like this.Stripped of all the senses,I can't fell anything,whenever someone talks I just hear the same robotic voice like they hear me.I know that everybody in the facility is okay with this.I mean they cannot feel anything so they don't even have a chance,but ever since I was born-the day that my mother left she told me:

-"You are special sweetie,you are able to feel what we can't.But do not show that to anybody.They will remove you from the facility.Just stay like the others and one day when you get to go to Earth be yourself.Alright?"

She also had that robotic voice but I felt like she wasn't just some robot-voice stranger.I felt-lo...vv..ee. Even tough I am talking inside my head the limiter still does this to me. 

As I finish with dressing I head out of the really thick metal door to hallway A then trough hallway C to Z.If there weren't the labels on each hallway I literally would get lost in 3.2 seconds.Anyhow I make it to the habits section and find mine.All the way in the back habit Z-34 I put my finger near the scanner and enter my habit.Inside there is a black desk,white bed,gray walls and a white drawer.My room is I would say the worst of all.I don't have a TV nor a bookshelf.I have to sneak books in then hide them inside the drawer.Anyhow I lay on the bed thinking about how this all started and how I was the first and only baby born in the facility.

It is the year 1890.A small local cult belives that with the help of God Fra and a sacred knife they can completely remove a humans senses.And sure enough they did it(not with the help of God Fra).They completely removed the nerve system.And thought it to other future cult leaders.As the years went by technology was thought to remove that system.Then our former leader in 2098 launched the whole training facility into space where it is as of now orbiting around earth unsuspected.Why?Well because you can't feel anything you are an unbeatable warrior.Pain doesn't stop you.When you sign up they make you sign a contract with blood then send you up here and remove your senses.And I...well basicly....I........I hear three taps.

Mrs.Locket signaled my three tap come to my room signal.She attached a speaker in my drawer and I hear a little robotic sound which I call a tap.Mrs.Locket is an old lady who is on the ship for many decades.She was never let out onto Earth and she barley remembers it.She is kinda like my grandmother.She knows my secret and keeps it a secret.She always lifts my spirit up so I thought I should go to her habit. But, something is wrong.
