*Early Morning*

"I know what he meant," you said, breaking the silence. "What do you mean?" Sam asked, placing a hand on his forehead to block out the sun.

"What Chronos said. I know what he means," you elaborated. "Oh, Ladybug..." Sam said, exasperated.

"Just... listen. Please?" you begged. He sighed. "Okay."

"Sam, you have to go home... and what does that leave me with?" you asked, looking into his hazel eyes. He opened his mouth to speak, but what was there to say?

"I..." he started. "I love you, Sam," you blurted out, immediately covering your mouth after. As if that would help.

"I don't... Um..." you stuttered. He pulled your face close to his. "I'm so glad you said that because I love you, too."

You closed your eyes, anticipating a kiss, but as your lips were about to collide, he rested his forehead against yours and pulled away.

You couldn't help but to feel desolated, but he obviously had something important to say.

"Y/N, you have to promise me something," he said, attempting to stand from his spot. You followed, helping him to his feet. He placed a hand on each of your shoulders, searching your eyes.

"Promise... Promise me you'll find someone else. Get married and have..." "No," you interrupted. How could he ask this of you? "I'm not going to just-just replace you!"

"You wouldn't be replacing me. I just want you to be happy," he said, wiping a tear from your face.

"I will never find someone like you. I will never love someone the way that I do you. I just... I just can't." The thought of being with a different man repulsed you.

Sam pulled you close to him. "What if you stay?" you asked. He inhaled, sharply, shooting your idea down. "What if I go with you?" you asked, looking back up at him. "Bug..."

"Please, Sam," you begged. "I want you to. Believe me, I do..." he started. "Right. So, I'll get my stuff packed." Tears spilled down your face as you tried to walk past him, but he stopped you.

"Y/N... my job? This life? It's dangerous. You saw what we have to deal with. I can't bring you into this," he explained. "Will you be able to visit?" you asked. "I... Cass said it's too risky. We can't risk changing the future."

"When do you have to go?" you asked, your voice broken. "Sunset." "Hold me 'til then?" You leaned your head onto his chest, one of his arms held you, and you laid your legs on his lap.

Time flew by faster than you had hoped it would, and soon enough it was time for him to go. "Sam," a deep voice called.

"No," you whispered as Sam turned to see his brother, father, and... Angel behind him.

"I just..." he started. "Sam, we need to go." Castiel interrupted. "Just give me a minute!" he yelled. "Give him a minute," Dean nodded to Cass.

"Hey, Hey. Please don't cry, Ladybug," he said, softly. A sob escaped your lips, shattering his already broken heart. "You told me you want me to be happy, but Sam, how am I supposed to be happy when you're the only one who makes me truly happy?" you asked.

He chuckled into your hair. "Is this funny to you?" you asked. "No. No, of course not. I just... love you so much."

"Telling me you love me doesn't make it any easier to let you go," you whined, earning a long kiss on the top of your head. "Sam, it's time."

Your face dropped again as Sam helped you to your feet. You locked your arms around him as he made his way to his family.

"Sam?" You looked up at him. "Ladybug?" he mirrored. You stood on your tippy-toes and kissed his soft lips.
