Chapter 3
After only a few minutes I was soaked through from the snow. I trudged through the darkness and piles of snow ever growing higher trying to get even
a sense of direction. I was lost, miserable, and alone. I wandered for several hours in the enternal darkness, each step exactly like the last. Any
sanity I had left was lost as I wandered around.
"If I'm going in circles, I am going to be so mad!"I cried out loud, my warm breath steaming as it hit the freezing air. I stumbled again and landed
in a snowdrift which cushioned my landing. Once I fell, I realized I didn't have the strength nor will to get up and continue. Before I closed my
eyes I thought of Caralyn and how she would no doubt be freaking out. Then, I let myself go, and drifted off into the emptyness that exists before
you die, but when you don't have full hold on life.
