Part 2

Katie's POV

We all get something to eat and as I'm sitting there I pick at my food.

Sam: Don't let what Jeff says get to you.

Katie: I'm not

Kat: He's just such an asshole.

I smile at her reply.

Kat: Oh shoot, I totally forgot I had to go to the Studio today to work on my song.

Sam looks at his watch: Do you want us to drop you off there?

Kat: That would be great!

We all get up and head to the Studio.

As we pull up to the Studio, Kat gets out and Sam parks.

Sam: Hop in front Katie.

I get out and sit in front. He drives the opposite way to where the house is.

Katie: Where are we going?

Sam: Just trust me.

-a very quiet hour drive later-

Sam pulls up to this old boarded up house.

Katie: what is this place?

Sam: me and Colby used to hang out here all the time.

Katie: Oh

He gets out of the car and tells me to follow him. As I get out of the car Sam is already in the house. We look around and explore until Sam stops me.

Sam: Look Katie, before I tell you this you have to promise me you won't get mad.

Katie looks at Sam: I promise.

Sam sighs: Before you came to California, Colby was with another girl.

I look down: How long before I came here?

Sam: 2 days maybe 3.

That explains why he wasn't texting me.
I hold back my tears.

Sam: I'm really sorry I had to tell you this.. I thought Colby was going to but he hasn't and I thought you knew.

Katie: It's fine, can we go home now?

Sam: You're not mad?

Katie lies: No, I'm just tired and want to go to sleep.

Sam: Alright.

We head back home.
