Her life was as perfect as it could be. Perfect school, an elite, hot group of friends, smart and pretty, rich. Alexa is, or was, the middle child of three: Guzman, her twin, and Marina, her younger sister. She still considers herself one of three; It was always that way, she still refused to believe her sister Marina was gone.

After spending a long, painful summer at the snow with her brother Guzman and his girlfriend Lu, who also was one of her best friends, another year at Las Encinas awaited her back home. She wasn't ready - At all. 

Summer was a blur for her, she spent every night drunk and partying while her brother mourned. "How can you act like our sister didn't get murdered two weeks ago," Guzman told her every night. She couldn't bear remembering  - or thinking at all. Alcohol got her through. 

After summer ended and they returned home, Alexa was in her room at her new house getting ready for the first day back at the murder location, for the first time after her sister died. Las Encinas, her school. She missed it, especially her friends and boyfriend, Ander, who couldn't stop calling her for a day during summer. 

She never liked people pitting her, she was rather shy and some could even say cold. She was sarcastic and could give off bitchy vibes if she wanted to. She was the most popular girl at Las Encinas though Lu hated that. 

She was very smart, but usually hid it to avoid competition with Lu. Her grades were bad but she knew everything possible. Her beauty was breathtaking, no wonder why the hottest guy at school drooled over her. 

Before Ander, she would be known among her friends for being the hardest to get, yet she got her share of guys every now and then. "I don't have time for guys" she would say to her friends. Then Ander came into her heart, into her brain, and would not leave. 

Ander and Alexa started dating when Ander finally confessed his feelings for her after a long time of being each others fuck buddies. Ander would sneak into her room after a day of hanging out with Guzman and Polo. Her family all knew about it, but they loved Ander so it wasn't a problem, not even for Guzman who preferred his best friend taking care of his twin than another random guy he did not like nor trust, such as what had happened with Marina several times. 

After Marina's death, Ander was very worried about his friend, but especially for his girlfriend as she didn't seem to cry after that long night when she went missing for hours after Marina was found dead. She later arrived, broken, at Ander's door and they spent the entire night together, Ander comforting her as best as he could and bringing her to her house where everybody was looking for her. 

Guzman was met with an anger he had never experienced before. He wanted the killer to pay. Alexa wanted that too, but she hated people seeing a weak side of her, as she was always very confident and tough to the eyes of everybody who admired her, always happy and kind; She had all this hate and anxiousness hidden inside.

When she arrived at school and started walking up the stairs along with his brother, they were met with whispers and stares from everybody. "Did you lose something?" Guzman said with obvious anger. "They won't even bother to hide it," he said to her sister who was already longing in silence for the day to end.
