Isabella spent the whole night grieving over Rose's death. Even though Isabella didn't know Rose well enough, she knew Rose didn't deserve her fate of suffering from the side effects of a werewolf bite. She didn't deserve to have this happen to her, yet it happened to her anyway, because in this world, terrible things happen to those who don't deserve it, and it's cruel.

It was a frightening thing, to lose another person she came to care about, her and Rose could've become friends, but fate had other plans. Rose never had a chance at living, she had only been existing and surviving, running from Elijah all these years with her only family, who she also didn't deserve to lose, especially right in front of her. It's why Isabella hated death, because she knew how it felt to lose someone important right in front of her.

Isabella stood up from her bed and made her way into the bathroom, moving towards the sink. After brushing her teeth and washing her face, she padded over to the shower, turning the knob to let it heat up. Once the water was at the perfect temperature, she jumped in and washed her body under the scalding hot water. Ten minutes later, she jumped out and wrapped a towel around her body, drying off and entering her bedroom, doing the rest of her routine.

Isabella made her way downstairs into the kitchen, pulling a cup from the cupboard and preparing her daily cappuccino. Just as she finished the milky coffee, a knock on the front door rang through the house. She knew it was Caroline, the blonde vampire had called her this morning, letting Isabella know she was picking her up, because she was in need of some girl time...to vent while shopping.

Isabella didn't mind, she was in need of some retail therapy, anything to make herself feel better. Isabella and Caroline were friends since the first grade, and though the blonde couldn't keep a secret to save her life, Isabella still knew she could count on her. The two shared more besides shopping and gossiping as their special things, they shared things with each other they never shared with anyone else, and they had each other's shoulder to cry on. Caroline was actually one of the people Isabella kept in touch with during her time in California. They would be tight-knit for life.

Isabella grabbed her purse, making her way out of the kitchen and over to the front door, opening it. She was met with a smiling blonde, making Isabella smile widely in return.

"Ready to go?"

"You bet."

Isabella and Caroline spent a pleasant, successful three hours shopping, with Isabella listening to Caroline vent. Matt had kissed Caroline, and she told him he couldn't just do it before running away. When Matt confronted Caroline about it, she told him she loved him, but she ran away again. When she arrived home, Tyler was waiting for Caroline and kissed her during a rant. It's insanely huge because Caroline and Tyler knew each other but they've never been close as they are now. Caroline spending her time helping Tyler through his first full moon since he triggered his werewolf gene had made something blossom between them.

When Isabella asked about Matt, Caroline told her Matt was still in the picture. It was just one kiss with Tyler, she couldn't go there with him. Isabella tried to give her best advice since she never had these feelings before, but the blonde appreciated it.

After leaving the mall with both arms full of bags, Isabella grew hungry so she suggested they go to the Grill. After the two girls ordered and ate their food, they paid and made their way out of the restaurant. As they made their way over to Caroline's car, a familiar masculine voice called out their attention, causing them to turn around and Caroline to smile.
