Olivia's POV

Why would Nicholas want to see me? And how did he come into my room?

Sprinkles,

Meet me at the park?

Nick

The note was freakishly short and didn't give away anything except that Nicholas wanted me to meet him at the park. And no, I'm not going to call him Nick. He's also not going to call me Sprinkles the next time I see him.

Should I go? I didn't know much about the guy except that he was, eh, is a rather typical popular kid at school. Why would he want me to go to the park to see him? I won't fall for his charms. If he wants to talk to me, he comes to see me.

With that decided, I went downstairs for a drink. Shopping seriously tired me out.

"Livvie, Nick told me to tell you that he wanted to meet you at the park."

"You agreed?" I screeched. I thought parents were supposed to be responsible and protect their daughters from the bad boys in the world.

"Well, he's a responsible boy and I'm sure he won't do anything to harm you." Oh mom, why do parents always fall for the fake 'polite boy' act?

"I'm not going."

"Well, you should. Imagine poor Nick waiting for you alone. Go." She urged. Or more like forced, I thought to myself.

"Fine." I had nothing else to do anyway.

I grabbed my phone and my purse and headed out the door.

*AT THE PARK*

The park wasn't far off our houses, so it was easy to reach by foot. It was beautiful with different trees surrounding the area and beautiful paths to walk on. There were also benches to sit on where you could watch the sunset and a pond with ducks swimming around.

I sat down on a random bench near the pond as I didn't see Nicholas anywhere.

"Hey."

"Hey yourself." I replied.

"Didn't think it would be that easy to get you to hang out with me." He laughed.

"My mom practically forced me out the door. Aren't you supposed to be at Brittany's party?" I asked curious as to why he was here.

"I skipped this one. I could always go to the next one anyways. I wanted to spend time with you, not her." Swoon, not. If it was any other guy, I would be glad but why was Mister Popular suddenly so interested in me? Am I reading into things too much? Or are my friends in my head?

"Umm...Okay I guess."

"You're so awkward. I just wanted to get to know my new neighbour better."

"Really?" I said unbelieving.

"Really. Let me prove my point. Let's play twenty questions."

"Dude, that's so cliché. How about thirty questions instead?"

"What's the difference?" He laughed. Again.

"The name?"

"Whatever. You go first." He said.

"Favourite colour?" I asked the most basic question.

"Turquoise."

"That's specific. Mine's purple."

"Any pet peeves?" He asked me.

"I hate it when people chew loudly. You?"

"I don't have a pet peeve. I'm a cool guy."

"Sure."

We continued talking to each other, asking basic questions about each other. Thirty questions turned out to be much more exciting compared to twenty questions. I realized that I was kinda wrong in the way I perceived Nicholas to be. He wasn't some jerk who sleeps around and gets drunk at every party. Rather he was a guy who had his goals, his fears and his passions. I'll let you in on a secret. He likes Kpop too. As a guy, you'd probably assume that he would like a girl group. His favourite group is Day6.

"Day6 is cool. They have good music. I especially like the guy on the drums. He doesn't sing but his drumming skills are amazing."

"I know right. I wish I could play the drums like him. I like the lead guitarist though. His guitar skills are Uh-ma-zing." I replied excitedly. Not many people I knew liked Day6. They were so underrated. C'mon people, sleep on your beds, don't sleep on Day6. Stan talent, stan Day6.

"You play the drums?" Nicholas asked incredulously.

"Yup. And a few other instruments too. Why?" Are girls not allowed to play the drums? Are the drums too 'manly' for a girl?

"That's awesome. I wasn't going to tell you this but me and a couple of my friends are in a band, but we don't have a drummer. Care to join?"

"I would like to." I would love to, I thought to myself. I always wanted to be in a band. No hesitation for me.

"Wow, that was fast. I thought you would say no since you seem to say no to everything I suggest."

"Hey, I came today. What do you play anyway?" I asked curious.

"You'll see." He winked.

We walked back to our houses; the sun practically non-existent. In fact, stars were starting to cover the dark blanket of sky.

"Here, give me your number." He handed me his phone.

"Why?" I asked, suspicious of his actions. I didn't have that many people in my contact list, just a few friends from back home, mom and dad, and Char and Jess.

"To text you the details of our next band meeting. Duh."

"Fine." I typed in my number.

"The best neighbour ever?" He chuckled.

"I am the best neighbour ever." I said, as if I was stating a fact.

"Keep dreaming. I am the best neighbour, not you."

"Ugh, dream on pooface."

"Pooface?" Now he was full blown laughing.

"Deal with it. I'm going in."

"Goodnight Sprinkles."

"Goodnight Pooface."

*UNKNOWN*

Looks like she was having fun,

But she shouldn't get close to others.

It will ruin her,

But the more the merrier.

I'll just have to make sure

She doesn't know what hit her.

One day here,

The next day gone.

HE won't be disappointed,

That I'll make sure of.
