And so I decided to change my writing style but I am too lazy to edit the previous chapters. If I have the determination, I will edit those out. Thanks for the 1K reads ILY

A groan escapes from her mouth as she squints at the beeping alarm clock. What was the alarm for again? Y/N's eyes widen upon realization. She jumps out out the bed, ignoring the duvet falling off on the floor and straight to the bathroom. Her part-time job. Yes, her part-time job.

Y/N sigh knowing how occupied she was the whole week that she forgot about the part-time job she has. It is a simple job as a waitress at a cafe in the town. She had taken a week off and her manager would expect her to come early for a check in, something that the employees will do every time after taking a week off. Not sure for what but the manager finds it very important. Probably to satisfy his perfectionism, who knows?

After taking a refreshing shower, Y/N put on her casual outfit before putting the cafe's uniform in her bag. She will need to change into them after that. Tiring process, she knows but it is more convenient to walk to the workplace in casual outfit rather than in that uniform. For a reason, she finds it weird if she walks around wearing the brown pencil skirt and striped (not horizontal) button up shirt, literally showing the cafe's logo around the town. Sure, it would probably be a good advertisement for the place but rules exist for a reason. Nevertheless, Y/N slip into her sneakers and lock the door behind her. The cafe opens at 8.00 am and the clock just strike 7 in the morning. Some people might not be awoke yet and it would be a little early for her to show up at work.

Well, the walk to the town would take about 20 minutes and her manager  expect everyone to come 30 minutes early than the opening time. Which make sense because they need the time to fill up the display and brew morning coffees. Why didn't she commute to go there? First of all, Y/N would prefer walking to her workplace. She will have the time to view the world around her, maybe greeting random people along the way and most importantly it saves her money. With a student's ID, she would have a discount on every items she spend on but what about not spending any money at all? She considers about her aunt's family condition. They have children on their own, it is generous enough of her to send monthly allowance and pay for the house's loan and bills. Y/N has a thought about how her parents' life insurance would cover enough of the house's loan, but she paid no attention to it. Thinking that it is disrespectful of her to doubt her own aunt, she is a great person.

When walking by the sidewalks, Y/N spotted a familiar brown hair, riding up a bicycle to the nearest supermarket. Upon her long inspection, she figures it is Mamoru. He is going to buy something this early now?? Y/N giggle to herself. The boy places his bicycle on a pole and lock it with the bicycle lock. “Mamoru!” Y/N's cheerful voice rings in his mind. He shakes it off, regarding it as his imagination. He has been thinking about Y/N a lot these days.. and they are multiplying after Y/N and him gotten closer to each other.

“Mamoru!!” Y/N yell angrily, feeling betrayed when her friend ignored her call. She is now literally a couple of metres away from him. Mamoru snap from his trance and eyes widen at the girl's appearance. Wow, he really wasn't imagining things.

“Y/N?? Where are you going up so early?” He asks, cheeks slowly burning when seeing her in her casual outfit. That seems to fit her very well. (Yeah like, t-shirt and jeans. Casual Y/N, amirite?) To be honest, he would prefer to see her in the school uniform, he could see her thighs— No, Mamoru! Snap out of it!!

“Why, to work of course!” Y/N beam cheerfully. “What about you?”

“Uhh... Just doing a favour for my mom.. nothing interesting. Where did you work?” He answers. He eyed the [colour] canvas bag Y/N brought with her before glancing back at Y/N's E/C eyes. They look a little too lively today.

“At Bread and Crumbs Cafe in the town. Ah! Talking about that....” Y/N smile apologetically. “I need to go now.. bye, enjoy your grocery shopping!” The girl waves off as Mamoru wave back weakly. That was a quick detour to waste her time. Mamoru enter the supermarket without thinking much. Maybe he can give her a visit later?

“Ah, Y/N just in time.” The manager say, seemingly glad to see the girl entering the cafe. There is a new person handling the cash register. The new employee has short dark hair and styled naturally, and a thick framed glasses rested just on top of the bridge of his nose. Kinda cute to be honest, though he looks nerdy. “This is Kuro, the new cashier.” Y/N throw her manager a questioned look. “Yamada quit while you take your break off and have Kuro as his replacement.”

Kuro wave curtly at the girl when hearing his name mentioned. Ebony eyes state blankly at her with no emotions whatsoever. Different to a certain someone who have similar eye colour but held so many anger. Yes, she is thinking about Toshio. Nevertheless, both dark eyes make her uncomfortable. Y/N wave back and face her manager. “I guess that wrapped it up. Now go change and wipe the tables, you'll be doing all of the works alone for today.”

“Huh? What about Chisa? Isn't she's going working with me today?” Y/N protest, disbelief washed her body.

“Ah, she quits too with Yamada. But sadly, no replacement.” The middle-aged manager say, waving his hand at the matter. Damn, those lovebirds.

“What? Then who's been doing her work when I took the week off?” Y/N ask again.

“It's me, child.” Irritation appears evidently on his face as his eye twitch. “Now, stop with those questions and go change quickly now!”

“Yes Mr. Moriyama!” Y/N scurry to the female's change room. Unbeknownst to her, Kuro stare at her unique antics.

“I will have the lemon meringue cake and back tea please!” Mamoru say a little too jolly. Y/N smile and write the order. “You look cute in your uniform, Y/N.” He slips in a compliment. Y/N flustered at the comment but manage to not show it on her face.

“Thank, Mamoru. Anything else?” The waitress asks but Mamoru shake his head.

“Nope, all covered!” He grins. Y/N quickly turn and let her face flushed into a deep shade of red. She had a few of her classmates come there but they would dismissed her immediately. They never get to know her more, and they considered her as a classmate rather than a friend. Why would struck a conversation with her? It hits different with Mamoru though, he is friendly and seem to value their friendship. Which Y/N is forever thankful of that.

Y/N walk behind the counter as she goes brew the tea for Mamoru. The situation in the cafe is so relaxing with only a few customers inside. When she grabs the teacup however, she has a hard time finding for the tea. She turns around to see that Kuro had just finished a customer's payment. “Um, Kuro.. do you know where is the tea....” She trails off when Kuro point at the closed cabinet on top. “Thanks.” She replies.

“Now where is the stool....” She whispers to herself bending mildly to look at the certain wooden stool they would use if they can't reach something. Something brushed her back as her face flushed realising its Kuro's crotch.

“Here is the te—” Kuro curtly stop when Y/N's head hit his chin hard due to her standing up quickly. “Agh.” He groan silently and place the tea on the counter, as his hand holding over his mouth. Y/N turn away in horror. Sure, Kuro meant nothing when his crotch touched Y/N's back. Heck—he was oblivious how lewd was it to look at. He was too busy taking the tea for Y/N, only thinking innocently in his mind to help her. But this is what he get?

“OH My GOD! I'M SORRY!” Y/N apologize, remorse and guilt clouded her heart as she reachs her hand to look at the injury. She knows she did injured the boy, she felt the pain on top of her head and she knew Kuro had it tougher than her. However, when she does so, Kuro slap her hand away sharply. Y/N expect to see the anger in his eyes but he just stare down at her through his glasses blankly. That's it, no emotion, no whatever. He did not even reply anything as he brushes Y/N away from him and into the kitchen. Y/N sigh, pouting as she feels guilty as hell. She silently continued to prepare the tea for Mamoru, hoping that Kuro hate her the least.

Let's just hope, the tea doesn't taste bitter because of the situation.
