Chapter 18

It was early morning and the students who had been chosen were getting ready for the meet up. Everyone had mixed feelings about this event
Some saw this is as an opportunity to improve, while others saw this a chance to prove themselves as heros
It was early morning as they had to get ready and reach there before the other pros did
Kaminari was all ready and prepared but before he left he had to make a call
He went on the roof and closed the door behind him making sure no one else was there
He sat on the roof tiles staring into the sun as the warm sunr ray flooded the entire city in its gentle light
"Are we set to go?"
"Yes"
"Remember our deal crusty"
"Yea Yea, leaves the students of UA alone"
"But if they interfere, then we won't spare them"
"Think again Crusty"
"You bitch-"
"Oh oh, you hear that? That's the sound of my teacher telling me I'm late"
"Bye Crusty"
He cut the call and headed downstairs to meet up with Midoriya and Mina who were also headed downstairs
They chatted and talked along the way downstairs as they met up with everyone else
Aizawa turned to look at everyone with his usual deadpan expression
"Is everyone here?"
There was a collective responses of "Yea" and "I think so"
"All Might is already at the grounds waiting for us"
"I think I explained the rules to you all last night pretty clearly"
He sighed and walked on the bus and everyone followed him inside
They all had their uniforms for this event and their school gym uniform for the competition
Todoroki and Kaminari were sitting next to each other while the blonde was chatting with Mina and Kirishima rapidly whereas Todoroki just stared out the window thinking to himself
The blonde noticed his boyfriend all alone and sat closer to him putting his head on his shoulder
"What you thinkin about?"
Todoroki moves his attention from the window and looked at the blonde sighing
"Uh, not much really"
"Are you excited?"
"I don't know? Should I be?"
"YES"
He laughed a bit and kissed his cheek
"You need to learn how to have fun"
Todoroki blushed a bit leaning back on the car seat while Kaminari feel asleep on his shoulder
Mina and Momo noticed them cuddling and sleeping next to each other
Momo smiled after them warmly feeling happy for her friend while Mina giggled a bit and took pictures of them
"They're adorable together"
"I know right, so cuteeeee"
Momo turned her head to look at Mina curiously
"So...how is everything with you and Jirou?"
Minas smile faltered a bit and she went over and say next to Momo sighing sadly
"I don't know...she's feeling distant lately and she's more closed off"
Mina started scrolling through her phone looking at pictures of her and her girlfriend
"She doesn't want to hang out with me that much anymore and it feels like she's avoiding me for some reason"
Momo looked at the pink fluffy haired girl and leaned back on her seat sighing a bit
"Sounds like you two should talk it out"
"Communication is key for a good relationship"
She turned her head to face to her and her rich black eyes met with her golden copper ones
"You guys will be fine trust me"
"Just talk to her"
Mina smiled a bit and pulled the taller girl in for a hug
"Thanks Momo"
"It's no problem really"
She let of her and looked outside the window with the golden sunrays flooding the entire bus with a soft light as everyone continued to chatter and do their own thing till they arrived at the arena

Two hours later they arrived at the arena and the place was full of pros and all kinds of heros as well as students. Todoroki and Kaminari walked beside each other looking around while Midoriya started pointing out the pro hero's excitedly
Kaminaris phone rang a bit and he looked at it to see it was a message from Shigakiri
He turned to Todoroki who was now busy talking to Momo about something. Kaminari never told Todoroki about the attack that was happening and he lied had to Todoroki as well saying he cut all ties with them. Well...he was about to but he lied to his boyfriend to put him at ease atleast
He went to side of bus and read the text
"We attack in one hour. Be ready"
He read it and looked up to the sky biting his lip thinking to himself. He took a deep breath and typed
"Actually. I quit. I don't do your dirty work anymore"
"Good luck getting in now"
He hit send and his eyes widened a bit as he freaked out
"FUCKING HELL, I JUST DID THAT"
His phone dinged again as he read the text
"You better watch your back. Your going to regret this Shock"
He read it and closed his phone shaking his head a bit reassuring himself
"There's no way they can make it. Even with Kurogiris teleport, they'll never be able make it past the defences"
He sighed and walked up to his boyfriend who was now half dead but brightened up a bit when Kaminari walked over to him
"Nervous?"
The blonde shrugged looking around at everyone chattering
"Kinda..."
"You'll be fine, don't worry"
He hugged the small blonde protectively and smiled a bit
"You'll do great"
"So will you"
They broke apart and headed inside the arena to get ready
It was time for the competition to begin
