Prologue : Down in Flames

An 18 year old girl with hair that represented fire watched from afar. Her eyes reflected the flames that surrounded the house she used to call home, a lighter held in her hand and a small smile on her face. She had reached her limit. Her father was a man who had almost no time for his family, and even when he did, he treated them horribly. Her mother had left her father a few years prior, leaving the girl and her little brother in the man's custody.
Lastly, her little brother, Trust. He was kidnapped by a group of people who wanted to use him for ransom. But of course, their father refused to give the money to the group. The girl hadn't seen her little brother since, and that happened only a few days ago. Right then was when she realized that she had had enough, and decided to pack what little belongings she had, intending to leave this horrible family, or whatever was left of it behind. She didn't hesitate to take some of her father's money with her, since she would most likely need it, where she was going. 
The day she had planned to leave on had finally arrived. The girl had made the decision to burn down the house, and with it, burn the memories it brought, while her unsuspecting father was still sound asleep since it was only 5:00 AM on a Sunday morning. As the ginger-haired girl watched firefighters start to arrive at the scene to put out the fire, she knew it was time to leave. She picked up her bag she had brought outside with her, looked at her phone, trying to find out which way was the nearest airport, for she had wanted to go back to her birth country, Japan, for a while. There was only one thought that stuck with her throughout the whole event and after. It was, 'I'm going home.'

(Hope you enjoyed the intro to the story! I'm actually quite excited to write this book and I want to try to finish this book, unlike other books I find if Wattpad, where they leave you on a cliffhanger and they then decide to stop the story there. :D)
