Fifteen Again

As we pulled up at my Uncle's house, I turned to Phil and smiled sweetly before leaning over and pecking his lips gently. I had decided not to meet Phil's mum after the awkward encounter from earlier but he didn't mind. He said that there will be plenty of opportunities to meet her when I had gotten over the incident. We sat in the car for a little while until I finally climbed out, my backpack on both my shoulders. Phil followed, walking with me up the rather long driveway. "You know, I'm gonna miss you tonight." he said, slipping his hand into mine.

"I'll be back soon. Maybe in a couple of days. I'll probably skip school but only tomorrow and Friday." I told him.

"That's too long." he whined, clinging onto my arm which made me giggle.

"Woah there, someone's getting a little clingy." I mocked.

"If anyone's clingy it's you." he said lightly and I knew he didn't mean it harshly even if it did sting a little.

I stopped walking and turned to face Phil, placing my hands on either side of his face. "I can't help it when the most gorgeous face in the world is mine to kiss." And without hesitation I smashed my lips against his, immediately using my tongue to explore his mouth. His hands were quick to find my waist as he pulled me closer to his body. Just as I was about to deepen the kiss even more I heard a voice from not too far away.

"Daniel?" My Uncle's voice called and I pulled away from Phil to find my dad and uncle staring at us with wide eyes.

I quickly leant over to Phil as they approached and whispered urgently, "If they ask, you are my boyfriend, they won't approve of what's really going on." Phil nodded and smiled before taking my hand once again.

"Hi Dan, who's the guy?" my dad asked, eyeing Phil with a father look as though he was about to embarrass me to the furthest extent.

"Hey dad, this is m-my boyfriend, Phil." I mumbled and Phil squeezed my hand for comfort.

"It's nice to meet you Mr Lester." Phil gave his heart melting smile.

"Please, call me James." my dad said.

"So, James, Michael, are we just gonna stand around or head inside." I said with a grin, unclasping my hand from Phil's.

"Enough cheek from you, mister." my dad scolded playfully.

"Well, I'll see you later, Phil." I said, turning to peck his cheek.

"Why doesn't Phil come inside for a bit?" my uncle offered.

"My mum's not coming over for another hour, I'd love to." Phil smiled but I was apprehensive.

"Um, okay then, let's go." I said, taking Phil's hand and heading into the house. We sat around the living room, me and Phil on one sofa and my dad and uncle on the other.

My dad smirked before talking. "So, how are you, bear?"

I blushed furiously while scowling at my dad. "Fine." I said through gritted teeth. I hated that god damned nickname. It was alright when I was five but not now, not when I'm seventeen. Even if I want to be young, I don't want that bloody name.

"Bear?" Phil asked in a questioning tone.

"Danny, haven't you told Phil about your nickname?" my uncle asked, also playing this game.

God, I felt like I was fifteen again when I brought a friend home for a class project and the exact same thing happened. "Don't call me Danny. Or bear for that matter." I mumbled, my face heating up.

"Why not, Danny? It's cute." Phil cooed, laughing along with my dad and uncle.

"Not you too!" I exclaiimed, feeling defeated. I buried my head in my hands and leant against Phil, hiding myself as much as possible.
