(I listened to this song on repeat while writing this. Idk, you might like it)

"I-I," I stood, staring at Phil in shock. "You mean it?"

"Of course I mean it. Dan, I really do love you but my past is all I ever see around here. I just, I need to get away from it all." Phil explained as he held both my hands.

"I think, that I do too. I need to get away but, I'm not sure." I said slowly. "I don't know if I can trust you."

"Please, Dan, give me another chance, I promise you won't regret it." he begged and he looked so sincere that I almost agreed. Almost.

Just then, Tilly walked into the room and glared at me. "Phil, come on, ditch this loser so we can have some fun."

Phil glared at the girl. "First of all, his name is Dan and he is not a loser. Secondly, get the fuck out of my house and never show up here again." he growled angrily.

"Oh come on, babe, you know you don't mean that." she said, biting down on her lip seductively.

"Yes, I do mean it. Now get the fuck out of my house before I fucking make you." I could tell that he was trying really hard not to shout at her.

"Fine, whatever, Dylan is much more fun anyway." I shivered at that name and Phil noticed. He put his arm around me and I couldn't help but lean into his touch.

"Trying to get me jealous by using him is not going to work. He's an asshole anyway. You suit each other well." he said and she gasped a little.

"Whatever, I'm out of here." she then left the room, strutting as she did so. When I heard the front door shut, I turned back to Phil.

"Thanks for that." I whispered. "But, I'm not sure about the whole moving thing. I want to, I really do. I just, I need to know that it won't be the same there."

"Give me a week." he pleaded. "Give me one week and I will prove to you that you can trust me. Please, I love you."

I looked into his eyes, they showed nothing but sincerity and determination. "You have one week." I said frimly. "Please don't let me down."

He squeezed my hands gently and gave me a thankful look. "I promise, Dan, I will make it up to you. Oh god, I'm just so sorry and thank you, I promise you will not regret this." he rambled before blushing and loosening his grip on my hands.

"It's okay, just please don't hurt me again." I said, looking down at the ground.

"I won't." he promised.

*DAY ONE: SUNDAY*

I woke up in Phil's room after he insisted that I take the bed and he slept on the sofa bed. I spent a good half an hour protesting before he simply refused to leave the office. As I stretched out on the bed and groaned as my body began to wake up, there was a knock on the door. "Dan? Can I come in?" he called through the door.

"Sure." I said, sitting up against the headboard and watching the door as it opened slowly and Phil entered with a tray.

"I made you breakfast in bed." he smiled sheepishly at me as he walked to my side and handed me the tray. There was a heap of pancaked and various toppings placed around the plate as well as a glass of orange juice.

"Phil, you really didn't have to-" I began but he cut me off.

"I know I didn't have to. I wanted to." he gave me a smile before beginning to leave the room.

"Thank you, Phil." I smiled up at him. He was making an effort and I was glad that he wasn't just going to completely disregard what happened last night.
