Chapter 5: A Date ?

2 months passed and Rosie can't stop thinking about that night, that night when she lost Ivan and most importantly her mother. Rosie was laid on her bed, she didn't go to work, she just felt like she lost everything, she barely ate food, she lost her appetite, she only sees black, white and gray world around her, she hated the TV, she closes the radio, she felt so empty. Rosie's relationship with her mother was not only a mother-daughter relationship, but it was also more like a best friend, her mother was the closest friend that she ever had, sharing everything with her mother, calling her every day at work.

*knock knock*

Rosie's uncle was knocking the door, she already knew it was her uncle, after her mother's death, Rosie's uncle moved to live with her, he was cooking, cleaning since Rosie didn't go out from her room.

" Rosie honey ... it's not healthy for you to stay in bed all day .. ",

" ... ",

" Please honey .. get up, take a shower and let's eat breakfast ... ",

" .. *sniffs * .. I missed my mom .. ",

" .. I know you do Rose ... I missed her too ...",

Rosie's uncle hugged her and wiped off her tears, trying to calm her, he understands what Rosie is feeling, after all, it was his sister he lost, his only sister.

Rosie got up to take a shower, her uncle prepared breakfast for them, when they both sat, Rosie wasn't hungry, but her uncle was forcing her. Rosie's face was all starting to get paled; her eyes were red and exhausted from crying and not eating, she even barely drinks water. Her uncle was talking with her, to try to accept whatever happened and should live normally, however she got the college approval, and she must go for her study and change the whole depression mood.

Rosie overthinks about it, also she understand what her uncle was trying to tell her, and how much she wanted to go to this college, and it is a one life chance, she agreed and send a response back to the college.

She went to the college, still feeling blue, she was thinking that she should stay positive and accept the faith because there is no way she could bring her mother by crying and affect her health badly. Moreover, to concentrate on her study more.

The chosen major was accounting since she already got her café, she made a friend with a classmate, Julian. Julian understands what Rosie is going through because of two years ago, Julian's father died from cancer. She grabbed Rosie's hand "We have to fight these feelings of sadness together Rosie!".

After 5 years, Rosie and Julian both graduated together with the same major. Julian became Rosie's close and best friend. Rosie afford Julian a job in her café, Julian was happy, and she accepted. During their study time, Rosie told Julian about Ivan and how everyday 11:03 he used to come in her café, Julian was a little freaked out about him, but she felt sorry that Rosie lost him. Rosie was wearing the necklace that Ivan gave her every day, like a precious goodbye gift.

As much as Rosie missed her mother, after college her whole mood changes, she always prays for her mother, and all the people who knew her mother was visiting Rosie and check on her if she needed anything, she felt so nice that the people around her were trying their best too. Even her uncle was happy that Rosie is back to normal and in a whole nice and motivating feelings.

One day, it was a busy morning, people are going to work, traffics, walking, a lot of noses, and people coming to the café to grab a coffee and go to work,

"Excuse me! One Americano! ",

Rosie turns her face saying " Oh sir you have to wait in line- .. I mean officer"

" I know! But I am in such a hurry plea- .. oh? Wait .. I know you ... ",

" ..? ",

" Arent you that girl from the other night?... Five years ago?? ",

" O-oh ... Sorry officer I-I can't remember you .. ",

"Michael .. Sorry I didn't have the chance to introduce myself well .. Rosie? Am I right?",

Rosie shook her hands with the officer " P-pleasure meeting you officer Michael",

" Here's your coffee " As Julian gave the officer his coffee,

" Hey, Rosie ... I will be catching with you later, alright! You both have a nice day!",

Officer Michael placed the money and ran off to his police car, Rosie was quite a bit after Michael's visit,

" Chain me up officer haha .. am I right!?",

" ... ",

Julian walked to Rosie " Hey .. are you okay?", Rosie looked at her with a smile " Yeah .. I am fine, it's just ... times fly fast? Isn't it?" Rosie gave a smile to Julian, " It sure does!".

It was 4:00 pm, officer Michael enters the café, Rosie noticed him, she greeted him,

" Hey .. " said Michael,

" Hello .. hehee .. want to order something?",

"No.. I just came here want to have a quick chat with you, so please have a set",

Rosie sat and Michael started to introduce himself to her,

Michael is 32 years old, he is very tall, he is 182 cm, he has a shorty brown hair, ocean looking blue eyes, with a nice looking beard and he is a muscular man, he was a handsome officer,

" That night... First I am very sorry for your lost and .. I am so sorry I couldn't see your beauty from the night .. ",

Rosie blushed when he said that " t-thank you .. ", said Rosie in a soft voice,

" Hey umm .. I hope I don't sound wired to you but... There's this carnival in this weekend .. umm .. how about I take you from work and we could go there .. ",

" O-oh .. I .. I-",

" YEAH SURE!" as Julian interrupts them and pats Rosie's back, " You can come and take her early, it's cool I will be here!",

" J-Jul-",

" Alright! I will pick you on Friday at 6:00 pm?"

" U-um .. uhh .. S-sure .. ",

Michael got up and left the café,

" GUESS WHO'S GOING ON A DAATTTEE!!" said Julian,

" S-SHH! Customers are here!! ... a-and .. why didn't you say that .. ",

" meh, come on girl! Like, have you ever had a boyfriend!?"

" W-what!",

" It's not a big deal! He just asked you out .. I mean the guy is quite hot! And he kinda ... likes you?",

" Shut up Julian!",

" OMG your face getting red Haha!"...

It was Friday, Rosie was trying to pick a nice outfit, she was video chatting with Julian to help her out to pick an outfit, Rosie was very nervous and shy about it because she never been asked out, and this is her first time, she picks a nice dress and went to the café, Julian was super delighted for her, Michael came to pick Rosie, he was surprised how pretty Rosie was, in the other side Rosie was super embarrassed.

" Ready? " said Michael

" y-yes .. " said Rosie

When they reached the carnival, Michael asked Rosie to wait so he could get them tickets, Rosie sat on a chair, there was a long-line, she called Julian,

" Hello, girlfriend! ",

" H-hey Julian .. I- .. I don't think it was a good idea I am such an awkward person .. ",

" It's cool girl! Just be you! And UGH! I can't wait to hear all the details!",

" I-I don't know I-"

" Excuse me .. " said a stranger man,

" O-oh .. yes sir .. ",

" Are you Rosie? Carter",
