Chapter 2: Another Rose?

Rosie was preparing coffees for customers and kept checking her laptop,

"You alright Rosie? "said Dan, a working staff in the café, Rosie didn't hear him, she was busy with her laptop. Rosie was holding two glasses shots of espresso, Dan took one glass "Focus now girl .. the order says one shot!", "Hm? Oh .. I-I am so sorry .. "said Rosie, "You seem out of focus and distracted today Rosie .. is something wrong?" said Dan as he grabs Rosie's arms and looking into her eyes.

Dan is Rosie's uncle (Her mother's brother), he is 41 years old, he has the most serious face which sometimes scared Rosie, especially when he starts to speak with a serious tone. Dan worked in the Rosie café to join the family business and wanted to help Rosie until she graduates from college and takes charge of the café.

" U-uhh .. yeah uncle .. I- am .. I am just waiting for the college's email .. "said as she took a deep breath, Dan smiles and says " No worries Rosie, you graduate from school with excellent grades!", " I don't know .. they say that this college doesn't accept anyone, very picky and .. that's why I am waiting for their email .. I just hope they don't reject me .. "replied Rosie,

"Trust me .. you will get the email .. at the right time! But in the current time .. I need you to stay focus on work and not getting distracted with, whatever" said Dan as he took the order from Rosie and went to the customer's table. Rosie was cleaning the table, she had a sudden flashback "Last night ...",

When Rosie went back home, her mother was awakened waiting for Rosie,

"You're late .. " said Rosie's mother,

" Oh, mom! You're awake .. ",

"Yeah .. I am, did you check your clock?",

" yes, mom ... um ..",

" What's wrong honey? Is everything alright?",

"YEAH! Uhh .. yeah mom, i-it's just ... ",

"just??" ,

"JUST ...had a problem with the coffee machine! But I fixed it!" replying Rosie to her mother with a weird tone, Rosie's mother looking at her daughter with a confused face,

"umm .. okay *yawns* I am SO FREAKING TIRED an-and I need to take a SHOWER! BYE MOM!" said Rosie as she kissed her mother's cheek goodnight and ran to her room,

"huh? What's wrong with that girl!?" said Rosie's mother.

Rosie took a quick shower and jumped into her bed, " uhhh... It's almost 1:00 am o'clock .. I better sleep .. ", Rosie slowly closed her eyes, and opened them again, she turned on her left side and pulled her bag, she took out the rose that guy left inside his cup, she was turning it around and looking at it " .. it looks so pretty .. but .. what's the meaning ...", she got up walking to her mirror placing the rose between her long red hair " hmm.. it suits me .. " says as she giggles, " But wait ..... that doesn't mean ... he still .. DIDN'T PAY!" Rosie says with a pissed tone then looked at her face in the mirror, "and .. he left .. in a second ... why's that? .. H-he is so ... hmm ..was he .. poor??? .. OR A THIEF! well .. anyways ... better off to bed".

" Rosie .. Rosie .. ROSIE!" , " HUH!" as she jumped looking at her uncle, "FOCUS! CUSTOMERS ARE WAITING and you are busy with your head!!", " I-I am so .. so sorry uncle .." replied Rosie as she starts working.
