"𝕊𝕙𝕖 𝕨𝕒𝕤 𝕒𝕝𝕠𝕟𝕖 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕤𝕔𝕒𝕣𝕖𝕕."
"Honey, I'm home!" I called out, entering my home.
"Oh, welcome home, hun! How was your day at work?" Ochako said, coming from the kitchen to greet me. She had long, beautiful brown hair now.
"It went okay. Another hostage situation, but besides that it wasn't too bad," I answered her. She wrapped her arms around my waist.
"Guess what I'm making for dinner" She told me.
"I'm gonna guess... Pork cutlet bowl? And... Mochi for dessert," I responded.
"You got it. it'll be done soon!" she smiled, pecking my lips.
I took my coat off and went to hang it on the coat rack.
"Before you do anything hun, could you answer a question for me?" Ochako asked me.
"Of course, what is it?" I asked her.
"Why did you let them take me?"
"Huh?" I replied, turning around.
But she wasn't the older Ochako anymore. She was how she used to look back when we were in our first year at UA. She had cuts and bruises all over her and looked beaten.
"Why did you let them take me?"
"Uraraka, I tried to protect you..." I told her.
"I needed your help, Izuku. Why didn't you save me?"
"I-I tried, Uraraka! I wanted to protect you!"
"You were weak, and now I'm gone because of you. I'm alone and scared, and you couldn't do anything to save me."
"I'll find you, Ochako. I won't stop until I do. I promise!"
"It's too late, Deku. They have me and you'll never see me again."
The home disappeared and we stood in darkness as she turned and began walking away. I ran after her, trying to catch up. But every step I took, she seemed to get farther and farther away. I collapsed, staring at her as she turned and stared at me. She had a sad look in her face as she started to turn into dust, and floating away.
__________
I darted awake inside of the hospital room, and felt water drip down my face. Tears. I was crying in my sleep. It had been four days since Uraraka was kidnapped, and the last two days I've been awake, I've had these nightmares. Each time causing me to wake up crying. Each one ending the same way. Her blaming me for her disappearance and then vanishing.
Apparently I'm lucky to be alive, due to a bystander who was luckily there to see me collapse that night. Also to my luck, the poison was easily curable and hadn't gotten to my brain, if it did it would've been a miracle to even survive. Although I had to stay in the hospital, so they could keep treating me. I hadn't gotten any sleep the past couple of days. The depression had kept me from sleeping much.
Every single day I laid in that bed, I blamed myself for her kidnapping. I wasn't strong enough to save her, and I wasn't able to hold them off. She was gone because of me. She needed me and I failed her. It wasn't like I could even go save her, either. All Might and his police friend have been looking around for me, trying to find any clues as to where the man and woman could be hiding.
There was a knock at my hospital door.
"Come in," I said to the person.
Iida came into view. He was still in the hospital recovering from his injuries, his room being a few rooms down. He was able to walk with a crutch and had his arm, thigh, and side wrapped. Iida had been visiting me since I've been awake, checking on me every now and then. Really, I think he was making sure I was still mentally stable.
