There she was. Ochako Uraraka, the girl I've loved, was right there looking at me. But her eyes were grey and soulless. Her smile was sinister, unlike her usual cheery and loving smile. It was her, but it wasn't her. This wasn't the Uraraka I once knew.
"What the hell did you do to her?!" I yelled at the man.
"I assume you won't believe me if I told you she willingly joined, so I'll tell you the truth. My quirk is interesting, really. It allows me to control someone, like brainwashing. You see, Uraraka here is now my personal pet," He stated.
"Let her go, or I'll make you wish you never took her!" I threatened.
"Ooh, you see, that's where my quirk gets tricky. I can't simply let the person go, no. The only way someone can be freed is if they took a massive amount of damage and knocked them out of it. But that's very dangerous, as sadly they don't gain any attributes once they're controlled, and are as they used to be body-wise. This means a hard enough hit to knock them out of it could quite possibly kill them," The man said, chuckling.
"You disgusting monster! Why her? She was a sweet, innocent girl with big dreams ahead of her! Why take that away from her?!" I shouted. I heard the hurt in my own voice.
"Because I saw potential in her. She has a new life and dream now. Imagine what chaos her quirk can do? It's quite unique, don't you agree Defy? What do you enjoy?" He asked her.
"I enjoy seeing the terror in people's faces, Master. It fills me with joy! Oh, Izuku, I wish you could feel how happy I am right now!" She exclaimed.
"Uraraka, this isn't you! He's controlling you!" I shouted at her.
"Now now, Izuku Midoriya. I don't appreciate you talking to my precious prize like that. Defy, sweetheart, mind doing me a favor?" He asked Uraraka.
"Of course, Master. Anything for you," She stated.
"Why don't you deal with little Izuku here? I'm sure he'd love a fight with his best friend," He stated.
"Yes, Master," Uraraka responded, before pulling out a long knife from a sheath on her side.
"With that, I'll take my leave. I expect you to win this and return back to me, Defy. If not, there will be consequences."
The man disappeared beyond the doors, closing them on his way as Uraraka agreed to his command. The lights then went off suddenly, with really dim back-up lights now lighting the area. Uraraka slowly crept towards me.
"Uraraka, listen to me. I don't want to hurt you-" I said, but she cut me off with a swing if her knife.
"Oh, Izuku! I've missed you so much! I can't wait to make you bleed!" She exclaimed, swinging the knife again.
"Please, Uraraka. I know you're in there. I just need to free you without hurting you," I told her.
She swung the knife as I jumped backwards, it barely missing me. There's no way I could hurt her. I couldn't. My best strategy would be to hide and think of a plan. I dove out of view of Uraraka, and maneuvered around the many machines and boxes before hiding behind a machine in the corner.
"Oh, Izuku... you know I don't like playing games. Come out so we can be together again," Uraraka called out. I stayed still, thinking.
"Come on out, Izuku! I wanna see your pretty face before I cut it all up!"
I heard her footsteps move around the place, stabbing boxes to make sure I wasn't in them. There had to be another way of getting her back without severely injuring her. I just needed time to think, whilst trying not to let my feelings take over. It was traumatizing right now. A girl I've crushed on was now trying to kill me. I realized the footsteps had stopped. Luckily my first instinct was to look up, cause when I did she was on the machine. I dove away as she brought the knife down, and it caught my calf as I tried to dodge, earning a yelp from me. She jumped down and I quickly recovered, limping away and leaving a trail of blood.
