Sorry it took so long to get to this chapter, I had hundreds of missing assignments that I had to work on before the end of the school year. But hey, we here now, and I'll try to get more consistent updates since it's summer now!

As Jalissa and I watch Oliver and his merry band of Slytherins walk away, I try to comfort her.

"Hey, are you alright?", I ask, putting my hand on her shoulder.

She moves her shoulder away and responds with, "Yeah, it's not like I can do anything about it. Or if i want to." The last part she mutters under her breath, but still its loud enough that i can figure out what she said.

Gosh, Oliver seemed so nice! But once again this stupid caste system got in the way. Seriously, who cares what other people's blood is like or who they're parents are? It's none of your business and honestly a little bit weird to rank people on. When I first heard of this pureblood, halfblood and muggleborn stuff, I wasn't too fazed by it, because it just seemed like a way to describe something like a second kind of nationality and stuff.

But even in here, the world of magic, mermaids, and centaurs there is some kind of bigoted system in place. It's dumb. Like, remarkably dumb.

Still, it's gotten better than it was in the earlier days, from what I know by history class. We just gotta be patient, you know? Wait for people to accept witches and wizards that aren't pureblood. It's only the 1980s, you know?

I push the thought away and grab my luggage that was kicked away as Oliver's friend's walked away. I follow Jalissa through the crowd, who, even though is shorter than me now, gives off a bigger presence than me, with all the new anger at Oliver. If I was ignored for something so trivial as how much percent of wizard blood I have I would also be mad.

"I'm sorry Logan, I really didn't think he'd be like that-"

I am appalled she would think that, and I make sure she knows it. "What?! No! Don't have a cow, Jalissa. That wasn't your fault. It was just some close minded people being rude."

She looks down and fiddles with her wand, something she does when she's troubled. Gosh, I hate seeing my friends like this. I put my arm around her shoulder and pull her toward me, making her trip and we laugh.

Once we're done with laughing our heads off, I say, "Come on, let's not let some bigoted pillock ruin our first day back at Hogwarts. There are a bunch of other guys that would be lucky to have you."

She smiles and I smile back. Our fourth year at hogwarts started off not in the best of ways, but we just gotta pull through. I mean, it's not like we'll talk with them anytime after. Well, maybe Oliver will apologize. Or that mean girl with the red hair. Gosh, she was scary. The blonde one wasn't too bad I think. He tried stopping the scary girl, which was nice of him. I think he's actually a sixth year. Or was it fifth? There was another one of them I think. He was a little taller than Oliver, but definitely not as tall as the blonde one, he was possibly taller than me.

No, this guy had black hair, black eyes, and a little scar on his cheek. He seemed amused which was weird because all I could feel was tense and nervous and scared of the red haired girl.

Gosh she was terrifying..

Now that I think about it, have I seen him before? He seems familiar..

Well, doesn't matter now since I will never willingly talk to them out of sheer awkwardness and fear.

Soon enough, we're on the carriage, waiting for Peggy and Elizabeth on one of the carriages.

"JAYJAY!!" Speak of the devil.

Elizabeth, the absolute insane person she is, has her broom out and is flying towards us. Me, seeing the tiny burst of pink called Elizabeth mounts hurdling towards us at an ungodly speed I did the reasonable thing and screamed bloody murder.

Luckily enough though, she stops just above us, does a fancy flourish and skillfully drops herself onto Jalissa to give her a heavy and tight hug.

"ELIZABETH! ELIZABETH FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE DON'T USE YOUR BROOM OUTSIDE OF THE QUIDDITCH FIELD I AM BEGGING YOU." I see Peggy sweating and running towards us.

Elizabeth laughs and response jokingly, "What's your damage Peggy? I just want a hug from this totally tubular lady right here." She nudges her head toward Jalissa.

Elizabeth Mounts, a fellow fourth year, the catcher/co-captain of our Hufflepuff quidditch team and absolute daredevil. I've been friends with her since the sorting, both of us being muggleborn and in Hufflepuff. We hung out together, ate together, and half of my classes I had was with her. When I wasn't studying with Jalissa, I was with Elizabeth, getting into the kitchen and talking with the house elves. She's tiring, but she has a big heart, and a strong sense of justice. She makes super good brownies too! When the house elves let her, anyways.

A panting Peggy comes over and climbs up the carriage, exasperated. She looks up and breathes deeply before looking towards Elizabeth. She grabs her wand, points it at Elizabeth and says under her breath, "Rictusempra."

Immediately she falls to the floor laughing so hard that she eventually starts crying. "Hah, wait I'm sorry-HAHA make it stooop!"

Peggy just rolls her eyes ruthlessly and just says, "Don't have a cow, just use the counter spell."

"I-Haa- I don't remembeeeerr!" She bursts with laughter for the fourth time in the past 30 seconds.

I shake my head mercifully and use the counter spell. "Finite. Seriously Elizabeth, you have to learn the counter spell, this is like, the millionth time Peggy has hexed you!"

Elizabeth is just laying on the floor trying to catch her breath while Peggy is just ruthlessly watching.

Margaret, or Peggy, is actually the only pureblood of the group. But her family is a lot more chill than the stereotypical, "Anyone who isn't pureblooded isn't a wizard blah blah blah." stuff. I only met her at the beginning of the second year, but she and Jalissa had also been friends since the sorting, both of them being sorted into Ravenclaw. Peggy and I have this thing, where she'll help me study magic and stuff if I tell her about math and science, since she's always been interested in muggle stuff.

She is also scary good at hexes, as demonstrated here.

We're all interrupted by the carriage starting to drive off, making us all lurch forward with our luggage, the surprised sounds of Peggy's owl and Elizabeth's cat starting.  I landed on my stomach, my hands luckily making sure my head didn't hit anything and with Elizabeth on my back, poking the bristles right in my face, unfortunately.

When she notices, she snorts and apologizes, helping me up to my feat. "Woah!" Peggy and Elizabeth look at me astonished.

"You got taller!"

I chuckle nervously and say, "Crazy right? I just kind of, sprouted over the summer!"

Peggy pushes back her hair so she can see how tall I am. Peggy is comparing my height beforehand with my height now with her broom and free hand. I laugh at the sight and get everyone to sit down so we don't fall off the carriage, since the last time that happened was an absolute disaster..

I look ahead to Hogwarts, sitting on top of the cliffs, grand and cold on the outside, but everyone here knows that's just an illusion. Inside, it's magical. Literally. It's warm and mysterious and around every corner is a new adventure waiting to be found. Gosh, I can't believe how amazing this place is!

I'm gonna have to apologize for not updating lately, I've been cramming projects for the end of the year and trying to finish this chapter in the midst of things. This one is longer, but I still need to catch Logan up to the Great Hall, so the next chapter will also be his Pov, along with pictures of Peggy and Elizabeth since I can't do it this chapter. Have a good day/night, and wash your hands.
