Chapter 23: Revelations
As Thorn spiraled out of control, Murtagh uttered a cry so loud, it made Eragon and Arya want to pull their ears off. Eragon, Saphira, Saphira, Brom, Arya, and Firnen all worked to slow Thorn, but all they did was give Gleadr a chance to impale Murtagh with his tail and fling him into the distance. By then they could hear Omoris shouting at Glaedr. They slowly lowered Thorn to a safe distance, then dove towards the ground. As they neared, they saw the full extent of the damage. The back end of Thorn was nearly completely torn off, and the dragon had gone unconscious from the pain. The Gleadr projected his thoughts so all could hear him. I will not be ridiculed by you, elf! I Did what I thought was right and fit. The puny dragon was no match for me in the first place. "Revenge is never the answer! It only leads to dark thoughts and hate which is why you are angry in the first place. If anything, you should direct your anger towards Galbatorix, Who is the reason you are angry in the first place!" Omoris replied. Eragon the joined "Both of you be quiet! Galbatorix and the Forsworn are back. They may have even more with them this time. Who knows how many they have swayed. But either way we cannot waste time bickering while they are at large. You may settle your argument over Murtagh later but for right now we need to find him." Upon seeing that they all agreed, Eragon and the others started to tend to Thorn. when he was stable enough they took off and set out after the direction Gleadr flung him. After just a few seconds though, the blood trail seemed to disappear. When they circled back they noticed something. The ground near the end of the blood trail was completely torn loose, as if a gigantic dragon had caught him and flown away, as if Shuiken had caught Murtagh, and taken him away. Taken him to the only place that make sense, the place that Eragon never wanted to go to again.
A/N: ... I am so sorry that i havnt posted in a long time but things really started to pick up the last 3 quarters. I will try to get another one out by the end of the week but no promises. To all those who correct my spelling thank you i will be doing that right after this, but my comp is really slow as i have a sucky laptop. i prefer pcs, but this is all i got soo... anyway, reviw and ill see you next time.
