Another terrifying and completely inhuman scream filled the air once more, but it was distant now. Lemmy and Gruff lay on the forest floor, puffing and panting from exhaustion.
"I think we messed up", panted Lemmy.
"Nah. We got away, we can carry on", laughed Gruff.
"But you heard what that thing said. It will kill us if it finds those eggs and realises we stank out it's weird cave", panicked Lemmy. "That thing sounded unlike anything I've ever heard before...what if it's hunting for us?".
"Then we simply hide the eggs and pull off yet another fantastic prank", smirked Gruff, rubbing his hands together in excitement.
"Who are we going to prank now? I'm pretty sure we've pranked everyone in the whole entire forest today", pondered Lemmy. He just wanted to go home and crack open a bottle of whiskey."A new favourite of mine", smiled Gruff.
Lilith had finally finished cleaning up all of the mess caused by those two trouble makers. She was beyond exhausted at this point and had even started to fall to sleep whilst folding her clothes a few hours ago, however she managed to just about keep herself going.
"Time for bed", she slurred, the line almost sounding like gibberish rather than actual words as she collapsed on to her mattress, instantly falling in to a deep sleep.
"Aw no fun, she's asleep", huffed Gruff as he begrudgingly glared at her. "I guess we'll just have to wake her up again", he snickered, aiming an egg for her head.
"No Gruff. I'm done. I stink and I'm going home to drink some well deserved whiskey", said Lemmy firmly. "I think we've had enough fun for today...besides, the sky is clouding up. A bad storm is on the way".
"Oh come on. Don't be a rotten egg!", snarled Gruff.
"Well if you want to get caught up in the storm, I guess I'll drink your share too", grinned Lemmy, taking off at speed.
"Oh no you don't! That's my whiskey!", screamed Gruff, throwing the eggs to the side as he charged after Lemmy.
The box of eggs slipped in to the part opened chest of clothes Lilith hadn't fully closed. Some of them had fell loose and rolled out, hiding beneath layers of her clothing. Each egg was a stench filled ticking time bomb.
(CRASH!!!) "MEEEOOOWWWW!!!".
Lilith jumped out of her deep sleep in shock as she heard her dearly beloved cat shrieking like never before. The sky was heavy. Black clouds hung menacingly, exploding in anger, each one firing out thick bullets of rain, like an army attacking an enemy base.
Lilith heard Melody shriek louder as she shot out of bed and down the stairs, slipping thoughtlessly down the last few as she stumbled to her feet and grabbed the door handle. The heavy oak door exploded open, Lilith being knocked to the floor as a furious gust of wind howled through her house; Melody running in as fast as her tiny legs could carry her.
