In this book, you're a nurse who just can't find a job- until she stumbles upon an ad in the paper for a job at an asylum as a caretaker. It pays well, and despite the 2 hour drive into the woods it takes to get there (a room provided so you can sleep the night without driving back and forth every day) it's too good to pass up... until... you find out who the patients are.
