Carla's pov:

The drive home from the city was a quiet one, but not awkward thankfully. When we arrived at my apartment, I couldn't resist the urge to hug Tom goodbye, he seemed a little surprised at first but returned the hug quickly. I then thanked him for asking me to come out with him and went inside, my heart filling with the strangest feeling.

For some reason, I half knew what I was feeling, and half didn't want to feel it. I knew I was starting to like Tom and because I was sure he didn't feel the same, I thought it best to try to suppress my feelings as much as possible. So I did.

The next few weeks flew by in a fluffy of events, I got promoted at work, and was now managing the dog salon, loving being in charge. Tom and I started to hang out quite often, we went hiking practically every weekend and met up in cafes to chat. I loved spending time with him and I'm sure he liked being with me too, and I had done well to hide my feelings, I didn't think on them, only enjoyed his company, and it was safe to say we had become good friends. Jay and I performed at one of the big theatres in London and did well, according to the crowd who gave us a huge applause lifting not only the atmosphere room but my spirit - life was pretty good.

"Oh, that must have hurt!" I exclaimed as Tom told me the story of how he obtained a small scar on his forehead.

We were walking through the mall on one of our 'friend dates' planning on getting a nice hot mug of coffee since the day was freezing.

"It did," Tom laughed gently, "just being in the wrong place at the wrong time I guess."

"Aww, well I'm glad you're ok," I stated and rubbed my shoulder against his arm.

Tom wrapped his arm around my shoulder and gave me a quick side hug, "you care about me too much you know," he chuckled before releasing me.

I smiled, "that's what friends are supposed to do genius," I replied, "oh hey here's Starbucks, let go in I'm about to get frostbite."

Tom nodded and opened the door for me to enter, the gentlemen he was. As we entered I noticed some people staring at us and was confused why, I glanced over at Tom to see if he had noticed and saw him pull his beanie down so to shield his face. I furrowed my eyebrows, and then assumed he must know them and not want to talk.

We got our coffees and found a seat in one of the booths a few minutes later, when we were settled I took a sip of my coffee and was about to ask Tom if he knew those people from earlier when three teenage girls shyly approached us.

Tom looked up at them and they smiled and giggled awkwardly, "hi," the tallest one began, "we are huge fans of yours, could we get a selfie?"

I just sat there gaping at the entire scene as Tom nodded and took a picture with each girl, giving them a quick hug, and signing papers as they rattled on about some people I'd never heard of such as, Thomas Sharpe, James Conrad and Loki - well I think I've heard of him, a norse god or something.

As the girls thanked him for the millionth time and left my eyes widened as it suddenly dawned on me, he was an actor - fricken famous! And here I am having coffee with him.

"What was all that?" I asked, trying to keep my voice natural.

He sighed, "that's what I was going to tell you that night at ice skating, but I didn't because it was nice to have someone not know who I was for a change and still want to befriend me."

I frowned in thought as he continued, "I, I'm an actor, that's why those girls knew me, I have a role in those Marvel movies that's what boosted the fame I guess."

My mouth hung open even more before I snapped it shut realizing I looked like an idiot, "I uhh, wow, huh, I never really watch movies so I wouldn't know. I can't belive it - wow, I've managed to make friends with a famous actor of all people," I blushed and hid my face in my hands, suddenly feeling a little unworthy or something.

I then felt Tom place a hand on my shoulder softly, I slowly raised my eyes to meet his, "sorry, it's just, all new and - unexpected."

He smiled, "look please don't feel different about our relationship," he stated, and slid his hand down my arm to take my hand in his, "I love spending time with you and I would be so disappointed if this was to come between us."

I sighed, "no it, it won't, I've just got to get used to the fact that I'm friend with Tom the actor, not Tom the fun guy I go hiking with every week that has become one of my good friends."

"Hey, that doesn't have to change," he stated, "I'm just an actor for work, I wouldn't consider you as Carla the dog groomer, you're Carla, the wonderful woman that I go hiking with every week, and occasionally take out for coffee because I adore her smile when I tell her my stories."

I dropped my gaze and smiled at his sweet words, "yes you're right," I answered, "it's just a job, you haven't changed a bit, I've just gained a little more respect than I had an hour ago."

Tom smile and let go of my hand, taking a sip from his coffee and I did the same, staring out the foggy window at the rain that had started to fall in comfortable silence. I sighed, those feelings I had been surprised the last few weeks were starting to come back again, and this time, I knew they would be harder to get rid of.

"Alright, Tom Hiddleston," I sighed as I typed his name into google and pressed search. My eyes widened as I gasped at the results, he was even more famous than I had thought - the guy played Loki in Marvel! I scrolled through his movie list and watched the trailer for all of them, Crimson Peak looked epic and so did the Thor movies, I couldn't wait to watch them.

I ordered some takeout, brought the first avengers movie and the Thor trilogy and plopped down on the couch to watch them. After looking up what order they were in I started the Thor 2011 movie and by the scene where Loki was talking to Odin about his true father I was crying; Tom was such a good actor! I hurriedly put on the next movie, and the next, and the next and nearly had a heart attack when Loki 'died' in TDW.

When the movies finished, I decided I was going to buy all the marvel movies, so I did, and planed on watching them the next night. As I clicked out of google play, I decided to check the news, and what shocked me more than anything, was that I was on the front page!

The article was titled, "Actor Tom Hiddleston seen with a mystery woman at a London Starbucks this afternoon," and a big picture of me and Tom was plastered on it.

I clicked into it fast and read, 'Tom Hiddleston was spotted at a London Starbucks this afternoon enjoying a cup of coffee with a mysterious woman, who was later identified as Carla Rose, a dancer and dog groomer, born and raised in Kentucky now living in London.  The two seemed to know each other well and were talking and laughing a lot. A few fans spotted A-lister and were lucky enough to snap a few pics, the woman he was with seemed surprised and left us questioning if she even knew. If so, what is Hiddleston up to? Most surprising of all, during their visit the two were spotted holding hands, leaving everyone wondering if this mystery woman is the actor's new love interest. It certainly seems that way and his fans are all for it, congratulating already all over the Hiddleston's social media and complementing his good taste in picking such a gorgeous girl. Well, at the LD news are just as supportive and happy if this is a new love interest.'

There were multiple photos of us together, holding hands and even one of me from my Instagram feed. I was half angry for their blatant breach of my privacy and half excited that I was being considered as Tom's potential girlfriend. Anyway, I looked at it, I knew my life was going to be pretty different from now on, in just one afternoon, I was suddenly famous.
