Taeyong didn't really know why he checked his outfit countless times, but he felt good. Not only he looked cute, but he was finding a new place to live and perhaps start over. It would be hard to start again in a new place, but at the same time it would be good to let his memories go. He had so many bad memories attached to that old house.
People tried to break in at least 4 times and also his ex boyfriend. The boy who completely crush his heart. Four years ago. Taeyong didn't get why he had to leave him, why he stopped loving him, but he was sure he didn't want him to come back. Never again.
"Looking good," Taeil commented as he entered the younger' s room. "Where are you going?"
"I'm going to check an appartment."
"I told you you could stay here, you know?"
Taeyong smiled. "Yes, I know. But, I want to find a new place."
"Alright, do you need company?"
"Uh no, I'm going with Jaehyun," Taeyong put on a jacket and smiled at his friend. "You're invinted to come tho."
Taeil shook his head. " No, thank you. I've seen what you and Jaehyun are up to and I am not willing to be a third wheel."
"You're an asshole, me and Jaehyun are just good friends."
The older boy rolled his eyes and bit his lip. "Alright, then. Have fun with your good friend, Jaehyun."
Taeyong kissed Taeil' s forehead before leaving the house. He texted his manager where he was heading just in case something happened and then entered a taxi to meet Jaehyun. It was a nice day outisde, the kind of one you'd like to spend with your friends, just hanging out. It would be nice to have all his friends together and grab dinner, but Taeyong knew it was not possible. It was fine. He didn't feel alone, at all. He didn't feel like quit breathing some times. He didn't feel like that. At all. Because Lee Taeyong was completely fine.
"I'm sorry sir, but aren't you Taeyong?" the taxi driver asked with a shy laugh.
Taeyong smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I am Taeyong."
"My daughter is a big fan of yours."
"Oh, thank you so much." Taeyong shyly thanked the sir. He did not know what to say about that.
"Could you maybe, Idon't know how to ask this-
"Do you want an authograph?" the old smiley man nodded. "Of course! It's a pleasure!"
Before leaving the taxi, Taeyong signed a piece of paper with a special message to the taxi driver's daughter cheering for her. The nice old man thanked him and let him go wishing Taeyong all the luck with his music career.
After closing the door, Taeyong spotted Jaehyun right away. It wasn't hard to spot such a beautiful person. As he approached the younger boy, he noticed that he had dyed his hair light brown. It looked really good on him.
"Hey there," Taeyong greeted. Jaehyun looked at him and then offered his hand for Taeyong to shake. "Have you been waiting for long?"
Jaehyun shook his head. "No, I just got here."
"I'm relieved. It took me a little long to get here."
"It's okay, you're here now." Jaehyun smiled and stared at Taeyong for a long while. "How are you feeling today?"
Taeyon smiled at how cute Jaehyun looked while asking basic stuff. It was true that he did not know Jaehyun for a very long time, but he felt somehow safe when he was with him. Jaehyun would ask him about trivial things, but always with so much care. He was lucky to meet such a nice person as Jaehyun. Taeyong made a mental note to thank Johnny for pushing him to text the younger boy.
" I am a litte bit tired, but what about you?"
"I'm fine."
"You're fine, that's good."
Jaehyun looked around before stopping and looking straight at some random place. Taeyong followed his gaze and saw a couple of girls on the other side of the street, staring at them. "Taeyong, should we just leave? I think they're coming here..."
"Yes, let's go." Taeyong grabbed Jaehyun' s hand and ran to the building where the appartment was.
They laughed a lot while trying to catch their breaths, still holding hands. Jaehyun' s laugh was really nice to hear, a very pleasing sound.
The man who was going to open the door for Taeyong arrived two minutes later. He was a short man, but had such a nice eye smile. Taeyong liked him right away. The man opened the door for them and told them he would wait outside and Taeyong was free to call him as soon as he was finished looking around.
Taeyong liked the colors of the appartment. They were pink and white: his favorite colors. Jaehyun lay down on the bed and giggled at the failed attempt of Taeyong to tickle him. " Do you like it , Jae?"
"I mean, what matters is if you like it..."
"I know, but I really want to know your opinion."
Jaehyun sat down, looking around and then showing Taeyong a sweet smile. "I really like it. It's big, cozy, pink and it has a nice balcony where you can have breakfast."
"I see you like it," Taeyong said while laughing. "You should move in with me then..."
"Don't say that again"
Taeyong glanced at the younger boy and raised his eyebrows. " Should I say it again?"
" I love my flat, tho. "
"I could cook for you and I'm usually at the studio so I wouldn't bother you at home."
Jaehyun smile. "Well, maybe in the future when I'm tired of living alone."
"I'll take that as a promise."
"Didn't you want to live alone, tho?"
"Well, yeah...but I'd consider it because you're fun to be around."
Jaehyun looked again and shook his head while trying to hide his smile. "Taeil would be so mad at you right now."
"Don't tell him know, please." Taeyong laughed and sat by the younger' s side. " So, should I keep the appartment?"
The younger boy nodded fiercely. "Yes, you should."
"I will then."
"Alright...."
"Do you wanna grab dinner?" Taeyong touched the other' s tigh and looked at him. Jaehyun placed his hand on top of Taeyong' s hand and nodded.
"I'll treat you." Taeyong didn't want to say no to his friend so he just nodded and showed him a warm smile.
Johnny was right. He needed new people around him. New people who would make him feel happy, safe and so warm inside. He didn't know Jaehyun for long, but he knew he could trust him. He had Johnny, Taeil, Doyoung, Ten, Mark, Haechan, Jungwoo, Kun, Hendery and Yuta. He had all of them. But they all trusted him so much and they shared all their concerns with him. He knew their struggles so he didn't feel good about sharing his struggles with his friends because it wasn't fair to put more bullshit on their plates. It wasn't fair to do the same with Jaehyun, but it was a different situation.
He did not know why it felt different, but it just did. He decided to trust Jaehyun and let him trust him too.
He still didn't know why but he just decided to let Jaehyun be that type of friend to him.
