"MAMA, MAMA!! look what i got" The young enthusiastic Angela shouted out to her mom with shimmering eyes, she ran closer to her mom with something inside her little fragile hands. On closer inspection, inside her hands was a baby chipmunk, all curled up and feeling the warmth of her hands. The young girl then called out for her younger brother who was currently scolded by their father cause he broke the fence the other day from jumping too much, nonetheless, he promised he wouldn't do it again and ran outside to her sister's side, his eyes widen at the baby that was held in his sister's hands, he asked if he could hold it too, and he carefully cupped the kit in his hand. Eliza watched as her kids grew up to be kind, strong and open minded kids, it was all that she could ask for, she looked at into the house as she heard her husband calling out to her, questioning what she was daydreaming about, they both laugh it off and smiled at their beautiful children who were currently debating on whether the kit was a male or a female. The sun had set, it was time to settle inside and eat their supper then Alex would teach them new stuffs all about the world and exciting stories followed after that, that bedtime would come, Eliza would sing them lullabies that she hoped they would remember all through out their lives and never forget the blessings they have gotten. In the last 7 years of their life, they have lived in fear, in fear of being found, now that it's almost been a decade, they new the time was near, therefore preparing the kids.... To run. To run as fast as they could, Joel was the faster runner, tho he was younger than Angela, she was more fragile like her mom. Joel was quiet like their father, Alex, meanwhile Angela was the energetic twin between the two. Angela had always been interested in life and nursing, like her mother,on the other hand joel liked seeing his father work, he was fascinated by the wonders of creation. Both twin were different but extremely close. Day by day, their worries grew, they were afraid of what might come and tear the family apart, tonight was no different, but this night Eliza sang a different lullaby, different than the others, deeper than the others, harder to understand than all the other lullabies their mother had sang for them. It was about rebellion and how dark the world out there is, it was a warning for the kids to stay alive. It was hard for them to understand but remembered the song in their heads, it was like it had struck them in the head and they can't remove it.
"CONTINUE RUNNING.... DON'T STOP!!"
"DON'T LOOK BACK, HOLD ON TO EACH OTHER, DON'T LET GO OF YOUR HAND!!"none of them knew it would be their last night together as a family.
