Nancy had decided to return to school and with the video of his brother and Emma circulating it seemed like the worst possible timing. She was early, having walked to clear her mind. She was dressed differently subconsciously hiding her survivors marks. She hadn't slept much the night before, longing and begging the world to change her. A sign that there was hope that her life could change for the better and it led her to a pair of scissors in her kitchen draw.

"Nancy your hair!"

She twirled as Brooke was the first to notice she had chopped all her curls off, she smiled and felt like the weight of the world was no longer for her alone. It had been days since seeing any of her female friends so hugging Brooke's frame made a warm feeling appear in her heart.

"Do you like it? I felt like I needed a change!"

"Nancy, you could make bald look beautiful"

The two linked arms as they teased each other about the looks they received. For the first time in a long time they managed to laugh within the boring halls at school. The video was on everyone's mind but it plagued Emma's so when she was met with the sight of Nancy Belmont she couldn't help herself but to ask.
"Did you know about the video?!"

"Good morning to you too Emma. No I didn't know, it was stupid and gross but Will did not post that video, lets be clear"

Nancy's attitude shocked her a little but she continued to protect and defend her brother's honour. Audrey and Noah had found themselves included in the group discussion only for Nancy to pull the Foster boy aside. She hadn't seen him much since the fire but knew that she wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for him, she owed him her life. He cared little for the attention he received for being the hero, knowing he would have done the same for any one.

"Noah. I owe you my life"

"How about you keep it, I can't have you dying any time soon"

They had become close friends, they had a lot in common and Noah would often read to her whilst she was in hospital, a memory she would treasure forever. He would read the newspaper to her reminding her of the date and weather, he sometimes commentated on games for her especially ones that Will and Jake played in. He even brought in some girly magazines and filled out the questionnaires which made her chuckle slightly. He was a good friend to have.

"And by the way, we totally dig the new hair"

He winked at her and left her at her locker, upon opening it many 'Get Well Soon' cards began to tumble out, dried flowers covered the inside of the walls and a semi deflated balloon looked sad in the corner however the thought was nice. A small smile placed on her face as the initials J.F were on almost every card. She hadn't seen her brother or Jake since school had began and wondered where they could be, it was almost as if fate existed that the two were in front of her as she closed her locker door.
