Chapter Five: The challenge

Uraraka

"Good. Now first things first. Meet me outside by that beautiful beach. In 5 minutes parter up in pairs of two. I'll tell you more details later. Oh and don't bother to keep me waiting or else."

He threatened and smirked storming out.

Wow. This Haurto Yangi's something else. His quirk it was like he was sucking the life out of all of us. Creepy well not as creepy as his smile on the bus ride. If their is one thing, I'm sure about is that he's hiding something. Deku told me he was suspicious. About him from our first encounter. I wasn't to sure yet but now. I want to know everything I can.

As I got out my thoughts, I noticed that everyone was starting to find their partners.

I approach Tsu who I always partner up with.

"Sorry, Ochaco. I already promised Mina. Besides I think their is someone else you rather be partners with anyway. Ribbit."

I feel myself go red in embarrassment.

"Tsu! Come on that's not it. At least I don't think it is. Hehe."

She gets closer and whispered in my ear.

"Don't deny it. I saw you guys on the bus. You like him just accept it."

"What if I just get in the way? He has such a mind driven goal. The last thing I want is to take that away from him."

I say in a hushed tone. Eyeing the freckled dark green haired boy across the room. Making small talk with Kirishima. I gazed away before he noticed.

"That's what your afraid of? I've seen the way you two work together. If you end up bring something more. I know that it will do nothing. More but drive you guys forward."

I smiled and hugged her. She knows me so well.

"Your the best Tsu."

These are many of the reasons I love Tsu. She knows my intentions even if I deny it.

I'm happy we're best friends.

"I'm going to go now. Ribbit. Go for it girl. Hey! Mina come on let's go."

Before I even knew it everyone else was partnered up. Well here it goes... I start to make my way to Deku who was right across from me. We meet each other halfway,  I feel the space between us getting closer and closer. Our bodies were inches away from touching. We locked eyes my dark brown ones with his emerald green ones.

"Hey. I-I was just about to ask..um."

He stuttered and looked down getting red.

Still not breaking our eye contact.

"Yeah, me too. Come on."

I smile and hold onto his arm.

To his surprise he fidgeted a bit and chuckled.

Once we got there, everyone was lined up.

"You know those little training sessions you have with your others. Just think of this like that except this is the real thing. The reason why you are in teams of two. Is because I want each of you to give it your all. If this was individual you'll probably be dead. So the more help the more accidents you save? Get it. Oh yeah and third this better stick to your brains. I am not repeating myself nor am I saying anything anymore. You each are going to be activating your quirks against mine. If you die well it was nice knowing you. And... begin."
