Virgil's POV

It was all good, all fine. Vinny and I took our own liberties to anxiety, and I had adopted him as my brother. It was going great.

  Until it happened.

We were just sitting and talking in the commons one day, when the power went out. "Huh." I said. "That's odd." I didn't think much of it, ignoring the signs. I regret that now.

We just watched through Thomas's eyes, as that didn't go out. I looked at Vinny, the younger anxiety was lying next to me on the couch, asleep. Patton was snuggled up to Logan, both awake, and aware of the power outage. Roman was sitting on the other side of me, and we were all still watching the console.

Patton and Logan were solely focused on what Thomas was doing, so they weren't paying attention to the rest of us. I made my second mistake, and went to the kitchen with Roman to get snacks, basically leaving Vinny alone.

We were about to come back when we heard hissing, and laughter. We saw lights from the living room flashing a deep yellow and green, and I instantly knew what it was. I dropped the bowl of popcorn in my hand and ran back to the living room, where I saw it.

Vinny, Patton, and Logan all had snakes around their mouths, preventing them from talking. Logan and Patton were tied up with some, leaving Vinny to defend himself against none other than Deciet and Remus.

Remus was holding Vinny in a green Aura, and I knew it wasn't good. Suddenly, I remember that I trained Vinny for this. I made a bite motion with my teeth, and he understood.

He bit down on the snake covering his mouth, making Deciet yelp in pain. He accidentally released all the snakes from my friends. Remus dropped Vinny to come to Deceits aid, and I took the chance to send the two evil sides back to where they came from.

"Virgey..who were those people" Vinny asked me. I looked at him. "Deceit and Remus." I said. "We banished them years ago, but they must have found a way out. I sent them to their side of the mindscape, so they won't be back for a little. But they're back, and they're stronger."

AN: So sorry for the short chapter, I had a friend tell me I was overworking myself by working on edits, stuff for my YouTube, school stuff, and writing and getting chapters out every day. I'm not taking a break, but chapters might be shorter for a bit. Hope you understand! -Angsty_Virgil
