Roman's POV

"It doesn't make any sense! I banished them 12 years ago!" I throw my hands up into my hair. "It doesn't make sense.." I whisper again.

"We know it makes no sense." Virgil replies. "But we still have to deal with it before they get what they came for this time." He gestures to Vinny, who's lying in his arms.

"Your little brother is, infact, in danger. If we had not previously trained him per Roman's request, they would have succeeded in taking him. We need now to take extra precautions."

Over the next three days, we boarded up the windows and exit/entrance doors, and moved all of our rooms to be together in one room. We excessively continued training Vinny.

Logan taught him what he should and shouldn't do in that type of situation. Patton taught him how he would survive if they got him and we hadn't found him yet. Virgil taught him how to use his aura and manipulate De and Re's anxiety, bringing up things they were insecure about. I taught him how to fight, hand to hand combat. I also trained him with weapons, and gave him a sword of his own.

It was a while before they returned, but we were ready.

  Vinny's POV

I was lying in our shared room listening to music when I saw a familiar snake and garbage bag appear.

I bit down on the snake that was already in my mouth, and used my aura to release myself from Remus'.

Deceit tried to lure me in with 'reasoning.'

"We won't treat you like they did to Virgil. Do you wanna end up like him? Hanging from the ceiling?"

I manipulated his anxiety. "Poor little snake. Thinking about when Remus used the safe word, but you continued to hit him ever so 'playfully?'"

"How do you know about that?!" He asked me, looking scared.

"And Remus, oh Remus. When you were little, you stole your brother's action figure, and ripped it's head off? Why are you so mad about that, hmm?"

"H-he treated it like h-his dad.."

I stop using my aura, leaving them weak. Remus, regaining his sense of reality, swung his mace at me. I hit it out of his hand with my sword, and swung at him, leaving a gash across his face.

(Hey, Evan here. I've recently been losing a lot of motivation, and it hasn't been good. I'm doing my best to keep up with this story, so just wanted to say that. So yeh. Les get back to le fight.)

I put the two back where they belong, and instantly run to tell my brother they attacked, and how I handled it.

"That's amazing! You beat them in your first fight, I'm so proud of you!" He began to yell into the other room. "Patton, bake a cake! We've got a celebration!"

Patton responded by running into the commons and picking me up, setting me down, and running to the kitchen.

  Things might get better.
