"Hi," The blond girl said quietly, a completely different person from who she appeared to be a moment ago.

" 'Lo" the boy said, shovelling food into his mouth. The others at the table said their welcomes as well.

Nicole chided them for not introducing themselves. Her remarks were followed by a snort of laughter from the boy, still inhaling his meal.

"Jake, can't you act civilized for one moment!"

"What does civilized mean?"

Nicole let out a long sigh as I learned the blond girl's name to be Laura, and the others at the table to be Neil, Erin (a girl; she was wearing a very obnoxious pink dress) and Rebecca.

I was bombarded with questions about every aspect of my life, and was asked out by Neil twice, both times shot down by Seana before I could even open my mouth. The food was much better than that of my school- old school- cafeteria. After the entire group at the table had finished eating, the girls all went upstairs to the room that Laura and Erin share, and the boys ran off to meet up with some other guys (whom I had not yet met) to play football, which due to my presence no longer being in the US, I later remembered to be soccer.

Laura's side of their room was extraordinarily neat, appearing to be color coded, and everything from the bed set to the wall decorations was one of various appealing shades of blue. Erin's wasn't quite as friendly in my opinion, much more neon and bright, hard to look at. The stark contrast surprised me after having my only experience be the very coordinated room that I now shared.

"Whatdaya wanna do?" Erin asked us.

"A game." Rebecca said a little jokingly.

"What game?" Erin asked pointedly.

"Mafia?" I blurted out- my go to party game with my friends. The others looked at me a little oddly.

"We don't know how to play..." Seana said softly, breaking the awkward silence that had been making my face turn a shade of red just slightly pinker than my hair.

"Oh, right, sorry," I said quickly.

"How about..." Nicole started, and the other girls started a drum-roll. I looked at Seana with confusion, but the shorter girl just shrugged, "Truth or Dare."

"No." Rebecca said. "Dare or Double Dare."

"Truth or Truth?" Laura suggested timidly.

"Truth or Dare." Seana said concisely, finally. There would be no argument. This would be wonderful.

Erin was excited to start, apparently, choosing dare right away. True to style, from all that I had managed to observe in the short amount of time I had known these girls, Seana was the one who thought of the dare.

"I dare you to text your brother a, cough- sexy, pic and then apologize saying it was supposed to go to... That one of his friends..."

"Daniel," Nicole supplied.

We then took great care in positioning Erin for her photo, a task we enjoyed and she milked for all it's worth. The message was soon sent and we then sat back down in our circle. Laura went next, revealing with her truth that she used to have a crush on Neil before he became such a moron. Rebecca's dare was to run down and tell the building supervisor that a pigeon crashed through one of the windows. Ms. Atkinson was used to the girls antics, however, and that dare was executed rather painlessly and without much... reward.

Then, it was decided to be my turn.

"Truth," I chose; I couldn't think of anything they could ask me I would find embarrassing- no boys I like would be at all known by them.
