Who can you Trust ?

Liar.

It was Keshia's last day of her two week suspension. Keshia's mom walked in her room.
"You ready to go back to school ?"
"No ."
"Well you have no choice , this better never happen again understood ?!"
"Yes."
Keshia's mom gave her back her phone. It was a bunch of messages from Darius , Bianca , and jasmine. The next day came, Keshia arrived at school . Bianca and Jasmine were waiting by the gate for her.
"Hey Keshia, you good ?" They both asked .
"Yea , I'm fine"
"Well girl we gotta tell you something" , Jasmine said.
"What ?"
Bianca begins talking
"We heard what happened to Mimi , but comes to find out her mom was lying about her being brain dead, yea she was unconscious but she was covering her face the whole time, you only broke her wrist."
"How y'all know ?" Keshia asked.
"We went to visit her at the hospital, with Tyrone." Jasmine said
Keshia put her hands on her forehead as a sign of relief. They both knew Keshia and her mom was worried. Keshia stepped away from them to call her mom.
"Hey ma, B & Jas just told me that Mimi's mom lied , she was never brain dead , she was just unconscious & I only broke her wrist."
"How do they know ?" Her mom asked.
"They went to go see her at the hospital."
"Ok , we will talk when I pick you up."
Keshia's mom hangs up the phone . She walks back to jasmine and Bianca . They all walk to class, Darius was waiting by their first period . Darius grabbed Keshia's arm as she walked by him.
"Keshia look I'm sorry I put you in that situation, I was wrong for what I did , please just forgive me."
Keshia put her head down and walked into the class.

School seemed to go by pretty fast that day . It was Friday and the weekend was about to begin.Bianca had invited Keshia and jasmine to come over after school. Keshia texted her mom asking if she could go. Her mom said yes . The last bell rang , all three girls met in the bus loop. Bianca's saw her bus number.
"Come on y'all, I'm not trying to miss the bus."
They all get on the bus and walk to the back. Keshia had seemed to be down all day . Jasmine & Bianca knew something was wrong with her, but they waited to ask her. Keshia sat next to the window , she put in her headphones & looked out the window. They finally get to Bianca's house. As they were walking jasmine looked at Keshia .
"What's wrong ?!" She asked
"I don't know , I'm mad at Darius but I wanna forgive him , I don't know what to do , did he really do it on accident? Was it Tyrone who influenced him? , I don't know what to do.." Keshia replies back.
"Do what you think is best." Bianca said
Bianca opens the door. They all walk to her room . Jasmine turned on some music and they began talking.

It was getting closer to the end of the school year & that meant Keshia's 16th birthday was coming up.
"Keshia!! Your birthday is right around the corner what you plan on doing ?! Have a sweet sixteen or something, and your birthday is in the beginning of summer ." Bianca said excitedly.
They all laugh .
"First of all calm down girl & I might have a pool party , I don't know yet."
"Yess , do that !! Me and jas could get matching bathing suits & yours could correlate with ours."
Keshia smiles. That sounded like a plan she just needed to talk to her mom. Although she didn't have the best school year . Her grades remained good therefore she knew her mom would say yes.

It was getting late. Jasmines mom came to pick her up & gave Keshia ride home . Saturday morning Keshia woke up & called Darius .
"Wassup." Darius said in a sleepy voice
"You up ?"
"Now I am."
"If your not busy today , can you come over ?"
"Yea , I'll be over there after I workout with Tyrone ."
"Okay, see you later." Keshia said as she hung up the phone.
Keshia started helping her mom clean the house. Her mom was in a great mood. Keshia knew it was a good time to ask her about the pool party.
"Ma? So my birthday is coming up and I wanted to have a pool party."
Her mom looked at her then looked away
"What does that mean?" Keshia asked.
"Yes , you can have a pool party ."
Keshia smiled although she knew her mom couldn't say no to her.
"I want it to be a Hawaii themed party."
"Okay that's fine I'll start looking at some decorations after we clean up , is Darius coming over ?"
"Yes , a little later after his workout."
They both continue to clean the house . Things seemed to be getting back on track for Keshia . She hadn't heard from or seen Mimi since the fight.
Darius came over & they spent the day planning for her birthday. The weekend went by fast per usual. But Keshia was excited that it was over because the last day of school was Thursday.

Monday came and Keshia let everyone know she was having a pool party for her birthday. She passed out her invitations . Many people said they were going.
She saw Bianca and jasmine & told them that she was having the pool party .
"Yess, kicking off summer the right way!" Jasmine said.
Bianca added
"This school year was interesting & the only thing that made it memorable was when you beat Mimi's ass!!"
They all laughed and walked into class.
