You and Clarke were talking about the future. More specifically your future together. You two were goofing around mostly until Clarke brought up something you didn't expect. You didn't hear it at first because the windows were rolled down but the second time she said it you heard her clearly.
"Marry me (y/n)."
You were shocked. You didn't know what to say. You two haven't been dating that long and here Clarke was randomly proposing.
"Clarke isn't this a bit soon? I mean we just started dating a few months ago (I don't actually know the time frame just imagine ok) I love you, but marriage?"
"(Y/n) we've known eachother all our lives, I've loved you since forever and I know you did too because you told me. I saw you almost die more times than I'd like to and I know that I want to be with you forever. I mean what's stopping us? We don't even have to have a wedding yet, but please say yes... Marry me (y/n)."
You couldn't really argue with her because you knew she was right. You loved her and always would so there was no reason not to right? Plus you could always hold off having the wedding until you were reunited with your friends again.
"Why the hell not! Yes Clarke I'll marry you."
Honestly you've never seen Clarke that happy. She stopped the rover and pulled you into a passionate kiss. It was about to go further when you heard something. You looked out the window and saw a giant sandstorm coming. You and Clarke hurried to roll up the windows and closed them right before the storm reached you. Sand was still managing to get in so you and Clarke tried not to breath it in, covering your faces with rags you got from the Ark.
Finally it passed but the rover wouldn't start. You both went to check what happened and noticed the solar panels were ripped off during the storm. You were screwed.
"Looks like we have to continue on foot."
You agreed with Clarke and you two gathered your supplies, or at least what you could carry and left the rest for when you come back for the rover. You really had no other choice here.
"Let's go"
You held out your hand for Clarke and she grabbed it as you two headed off hoping to find food and water soon.

You dont know how long you and Clarke have been walking. All you knew is that you were dehydrated and the blazing sun wasn't helping. Suddenly your vision became very blurry and you collapsed. You heard Clarke yell your name but you couldn't move. Suddenly you saw a bird, Clarke saw it too and started to run after it. Last thing you heard was a gunshot before everything went black.
When you woke up you were next to a lake, Clarke was cooking what you assumed was the bird you saw earlier. She didn't notice you were awake until you started coughing. She quickly got up and gave you some water.
"Thank god (y/n) you scared the hell out of me."
"Well I have to add some excitement into our lives." You smiled and Clarke rolled her eyes laughing
"You're an idiot."
"Oh you love me."
"Exactly, so do me a favor and find a different way to add some 'excitemement' other than fainting and giving me a heart attack ok?"
"Ok I promise." You kissed her quickly on the cheek and Clarke helped you get up. You looked around taking in everything around you. Its as if nothing happened here. How did this place survive?
"Clarke where are we?"
"I don't know exactly, but it looks like the radiation just skipped over this little area."
After some well needed rest you headed out to explore this mysterious place some more. Eventually finding a sign that had a symbol carved into it.
"Shallow Valley" Clarke said as she brushed against the carving. You headed into the village and saw that even though the valley was untouched, the people weren't so lucky. Everyone was dead. Clarke saw a little boy in front of one of the houses, she put her hand on top of his head. You could see that the sight broke her heart.
"Clarke we should give them a proper grounder farewell." Clarke nodded and you two got to work collecting all the bodies. It took until nightfall and finally Clarke grabbed the torch and lit the bodies on fire.
"You're fight is over"
To keep Clarke's mind off of everything you grabbed her hand and dragged her to one of the bigger houses. You had already put your stuff in there and tried to make it look homey. Clarke was suprised but smiled.
"I thought this is where we could live. Our own little home."
"I love it (y/n). I love you." You had heard Clarke say it so many times recently, but you never got tired of hearing her say it. Clarke went outside to get the rest of your stuff when suddenly you heard her call your name. You ran out quickly to see a little grounder girl in the distance. Clarke was calling to her, but the girl ran away. Clarke ran after her without hesitation.
"Clarke wait! Clarke!" You ran after her and tried to stop her but she wouldn't stop. That is until she stepped on a bear trap. You quickly helped her out of it and carried her bridal style to your new little home.
"Stand still Clarke I'm going to need to shut this." You gave Clarke something to bite on as you started to shut the large wound on her leg. Suddenly she passed out from blood loss as you finished up.
"Oh no Clarke. Please don't be dead. Oh god no." You checked her pulse and let go of a breath you didnt realize you were holding. She was alive just weak.
"Its ok baby, I'll be here when you wake up." You brought a chair over to Clarke and grabbed her hand. You kissed it gently and before you knew it you fell asleep.
I know this is kinda moving quickly but trust me I have this all planned out already! I'm gonna also be writing some stuff that happens during the years before the space crew gets back so this'll be a pretty long book. It'll be that and up until the end of the series! Hope you're enjoying so far!
