Monday morning came and jack never snapped me or anything. Not like I expected it, but didn't know. I wasn't ready to deal with Christians bullshit today. 

I park at school and walk to my locker. Grabbing my books I turn and shut my locker to see Christian turning the corner. 

He stands right in front of me. 

"You think you're invincible now because your boyfriend stood up for you a couple times? I don't see him here now do i." He says touching my books in my hands.

I back off and say "Look I don't have a mans, and I don't know why you have such a problem with me. Why can't you just leave me alone and let me go to class for once?" 

He smiles, "Now why would I do that?" My books are slapped to the ground, like always.

I bend down to get them and he bends down with me. 

"Fuck you," I say and grab my stuff off the floor.

"Nah, fuck you," he says and gets up, and walks away. 

The bell rings and I speed walk to class, finding my seat next to Marisa.

"Hey girl," She says as I sit down.

"Hey" I say 

Class starts and I can feel Kyle staring at me from the back. I look back and he gives me a faint smile but I look away. 

"So, I'm gonna find you a date to formal" Marisa says as we're leaving class.

"Oh really" I laugh

"Mhm. I know I could find a few who'd wanna go with you," She adds as we stop at my locker.

"I guess I'll find out," I say and grab my books for my next class.

I leave Marisa and walk down the hall and Kyle stops me.

"Hey, i'm sorry about the night of the party. Christian was drunk and you were drunk and he was being out of line." He says, but I just think its funny.

"Yeah, and what would you have done with Jack hadn't been there? Let him fuck with me? Apology not accepted," I say and begin to turn away.

"-look" He says and turns me back towards him 

I turn and stare at him. 

"I wasn't gonna let him touch you. Im not like that. I wanted to make sure you know that."

I smile "You see my face?" I turn my bruised side to him, "he already did."

I walked away and went to class.

After school I walk to my car and see a small circle in the parking lot around someone. I get closer and realize its not just christian, its christian and jack. I walk a little faster and hear them yelling.

"What are you gonna do pussy boy? You won't touch me with all these people around. Get over yourself," Christian says to jack as they're In each other's faces. 

"You think so? Remember what I fucking told you? Don't press me like I won't fuck you up," Jack says through gritted teeth.

"What? All over a stupid bitch? You are pathetic," Christian says almost with disgust. 

Then jack punched him in the jaw.

The people around them started going crazy as Christian fell to the ground. Jack began to stand over him but I ran towards the chaos.

"Jack!" I said and pushed through the crowd.

I grabbed his arm and tried to pull him away before the administrators came outside.

Christian sat up and spit blood on the ground. Jack nudged me off and punched him again and he went back down. Everyone went even more crazy. 

"Jack! Stop! Lets go, come on!" I yelled at him, yanking his bulky arm and he walked away with me slowly while staring at christian on the ground. I managed to walk him to his car and we stood by his door. 

"What the hell is wrong with you? You can get suspended for this, you're about the graduate why are you-"

"He wants to talk so much shit on a girl but can't fight a man like me? He got what was coming, he's lucky I didn't put him in a coma," He says out of breath and looking around.

"Look, I don't need you fighting him for me. I can handle him, don't get dragged into this shit," I say, mad at myself and him. 

"Get in." He says. 

"What?" I ask.

"I said, get in." He says as he opens his door to get in. 

I walk over and get in his passenger seat. We left the school.

I hear his phone vibrating the whole ride. I can tell he's pissed. I don't know whether to talk about it or just be quiet. 

He ends up driving towards LA and I just let him. We pull into a nice neighborhood and into a gated driveway.

"Where are we?" I finally say.

He parks, "My friend Nash's house. Lets go in" 

We get out and I follow him, I can see his fist is red and bruising but we walk in the front door into the nicest house i've seen in a while. 

"Yo Nash im here" He yells as I follow him to the sectional couch in the living room and we sit a few feet apart. 

Theres a rolling tray on the table and Jack gets out some weed to roll. He needed a blunt apparently. 

I hear someone come down the stairs and see a tall white boy whose smiling at us. 

"G, what's up man," he says coming down to dap up Jack, "and whose this?"

"Friend from school," Jack says and starts rolling a blunt. 

Haha. Friend from school. 

"Adelynn, nice to meet you," I say and smile at Nash. 

Nash sits on the end on the couch and turns on some music. 

"Bad day?" Nash says with a laugh to jack. 

"Eh, the usual. Just knocked some loser out after school," He says as he sparks the blunt. 

Nash laughs, "Typical G. Should've just switched to online school like me. When are you gonna get back in the game?" 

The game? Nash must have some correlation to Jack's 'famous' side.

"You know me, I only got a month left ill be fine." He says and looks at me. "Sorry you had to see that." He laughs. 

"You're just lucky I was there to get you out," I laugh back, hitting the blunt.

"Wheres Madison at nowadays?" Nash says to jack. 

Ah, that's dark-hair girl's name. 

"Around," He bluntly adds like he doesn't wanna talk about it. 

We finish the blunt and we all go on his back deck around the pool. "Man we gotta set something up here soon. Have J fly out here, get some of the boys back. Summers coming, big moves are to be made" Nash says to jack.

"Don't worry i've got something planned out," Jack says "J will be out here soon enough."

Jack really has another side to him I don't even know about. Shit, nobody probably knows about. Im gonna figure it out.
