Calalalalalalamari's POV
Besides the text message from Mina, the first two periods went smoothly. When the third period arrived it was time for my favourite class. English. English is my favourite because it's the only class that I actually get good marks in. Plus, Yamada Sensei is always encouraging and doesn't make fun of my grades (like everyone else). Maybe this is because I'm coming within the top five for English and he doesn't realise I can't do any other subject to save my life, but it may just be because he's a good teacher.
I sit there waiting, along with the rest of my class, whilst Yamada Sensei pulls out the paperwork for this lesson and prepares himself. We recently finished our unit on Shakespeare so today will be the first day of a new unit. Yamada Sensei wouldn't dare tell us what it was only once stating 'You're all going to like it!'. That got me excited but then again he may have just been trying to hype it up. Suddenly, my thoughts are put to a stop when a voice can be heard.
"Okay class, who's ready for our new unit?" Yamada Sensei announced in his usual, loud voice.
A couple of grunts could be heard amongst the class and of course the usual 'tch' from Bakubro could be heard from my left. I decided I would drain out their negativity and continue on with my excitement for the new unit. Therefore I sat contently, not having made a sound, just sitting with big eyes waiting for him to confirm the unit.
Shinzo's POV
I sat waiting till for Mic to tell the class the new unit. I already knew the unit was poetry because Mic had told me what it was when trying to convince me to change to 1a. He knew I liked poetry (mainly cause I'm pretty good at writing it) so he thought I would take it into consideration when picking. I don't think he realises that I'm perfectly aware that all the first-year classes have the same unit schedule.
Anyway, as I sat waiting for him to put the children out of the misery and anticipation I looked over at Denki. He was very enraptured in the announcement. He was basically jumping out of his chair with excitement, it was quite cute actually. The way his eyes were lit up in anticipation for just a subject was adorable and funny. I don't know how he does it but he can have so much energy, even for just the little things in life. That's what I love about him. 'Wait! Did I just say, love? Crap.'. I quickly turned away and hoped Mic would announce it soon so I could get busy on something and distract myself from those thoughts.
"POETRY!" Mic finally told them, "Before I start teaching you guys the material I just wanna see how well you guys do at freestyle poetry. So, basically, get out your exercise books and write a poem."
'Easy enough' I thought as I grabbed a pen to write with.
"Oh- also I'm setting you with them of love. Something I'm all sure you've felt in your life so it shouldn't be too hard to bring it into words."
'GREAT!' I thought 'So much for forgetting the whole 'love' thing'. I decided I would write my poem about Denki. If I did it about any other kind of love I felt like it may lose the plot. I started by listing things I love about Denki or things that stuck out to me about him. Then I composed the poem of my life. I was actually quite proud of it. I think it captures him well and describes how I feel about him. I proofread something I should do with this story it some more before deciding I was done.
"You've had thirty minutes on this so I'm going to stop you there. I'm going to come to collect your poems and read over them then I'll pick five of my favourites and get you to present it to the class." Mic said as he stood up and started grabbing our books, "Talk amongst yourselves in the meantime.".
