Chapter 15: Bond of Flame

(Y/N) POV

: 'Heh.'

(Y/N): 'what's so funny?'

: 'I was just looking through some of your memories. Though, there is a big chunk of your childhood missing and a few blackouts, What the hell were you thinking Getting into a fight with Riku?'

(Y/N): 'The circumstances needed me to do so.'

: 'Still, you had a nagging in the back of your mind that he would hurt you or maybe even kill you.'

(Y/N): 'YEAH, WELL WHY BRING THIS UP NOW?!'

: 'Calm down, Calm down. I'm just saying, that's pretty admirable, standing up to the guy like that. Especially when you barely knew how to summon your KeyBlade to your hand.'

(Y/N): '...Whatever.'

Then, silence. Normally silence would be good before a fight. Some time where you can prepare and strategize. This silence however feels more like the calm before a massive storm. Suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder, and I spin around to see Axel.

Axel: "How you feeling?"

(Y/N): "I'm Uh...I'll be honest with you man, I'm Scared."

Axel: "Why's that?"

(Y/N): "You know what Todoroki can do! I've defeated him before, but if he doesn't hold back, I'll be frozen solid before I can land a single hit on the guy!"

Axel: "You're worrying about the wrong thing."

(Y/N): "Huh?"

Axel: "You're worrying about ALL of his ice. But all you really gotta be worried about is the ice in front of you and Below you. It's not like he can make ice come at you from behind you or at your sides."

(Y/N): "I get what your saying but-"

Axel: "Let me finish. Just keep your eye on him, and you'll be fine. If you can see him, then you can see where the ice will go."

I open my mouth to try and bring up something to disprove Axels little theory, but nothing actually comes to mind. Since Todoroki is the source of the ice, I just need to cut off all his limbs and then he won't be able to fight.

Wait no.

(Y/N): "Thanks for the advice Axel. I sometimes forget that you're actually a professional."

Axel: "Hey, I'm still human probably. But the advice wasn't what I came over here for."

(Y/N): "Then What is?"

Axel: "This."

He then hands me a small spiky ring that looks like one of his chakrams.

(Y/N): "What's this?"

Axel: "Lets just call it a good luck charm and keep its origins our little secret, at least until after the tournament."

(Y/N): "Alright I guess. Thank you."

Axel: "You're welcome. Now then, the Match is about to start soon. You should get to the arena."

(Y/N): "I guess I have to, Huh? Wish me luck."

As I'm leaving the room, I Was suddenly stopped by Axel whooshing by me and whispering something I could barely hear;

"You've got all the firepower you need to take down Todoroki. Got it memorized?"
