i was sitting on the couch in my apartment, watching fullmetal alchemist (brotherhood of course), when gowon bursted in.

"rye!"

"hm? i'm trying to watch anime right now. this better be important."

"i'm thinking of confessing."

"oh. okay."

..hm?

"wait, hold up," i paused my show, "repeat what you just said."

"i'm..thinking of confessing to jisung."

"NO WAY," i jumped up from my spot and shook her shoulders like a maniac, "ARE YOU SERIOUS? YOU'RE GONNA CONFESS?"

she sighed, "i knew you would react like this. i shouldn't have told you."

i smirked, "so. what happened?"

"well, nothing really happened. i just felt like it, since valentine's day is coming up."

"and the real reason?"

"..an underclassman confessed to him," she threw herself face down on the couch, "he texted me about it, and i just left him on read."

"oh my god, what? who?"

"some girl named ryujin. i heard she's really pretty and smart and stuff."

"ryujin? like, shin ryujin?"

"yeah. you know her?"

i deadpanned, "dude, she's in the student council, and she's also on the dance team, AND she got third in the grade for midterms."

she immediately sat straight up, "holy shit. i have no chance."

"you'll be fine. but, honestly i get why you would be worried. we have the same last name, but she's the only pretty one."

"shut up. you're pretty. also she's not after your mans," she turned her body 180° and lied down with her legs up, "how do they know each other anyway?"

"i don't know homie, but i'll ask."

"who?"

"jeongin of course. i already texted him to come over."

"what- when did you do that?"

"when you bursted in and yelled 'rye'."

"so you already knew i was up to something?"

"duh."

i saw the frown on her face turn into a smile, and seconds later, she engulfed me in a hug, "i love you!"

"what's going on here?" jeongin walked in, with a scared expression. i forgot gowon left the door unlocked when she panicked.

"nothing. i'm just stealing your girlfriend," gowon hugged me even tighter, "you smell nice. like peaches and lavender."

"peaches? did you change your shampoo?" he asked casually as he set down some snacks on the table.

"yeah, how'd you know? are you a stalker? get away from me," i dramatically exclaimed.

he facepalmed, "you smelled like strawberries before. so unless gowon has lost her ability to be able to smell properly, you changed your shampoo or conditioner."
