The students in class 1-A were tired and beat. Although they all loved to train and improve their skills, their backs were aching and they were ready to hit the sack. What they didn't know was that there was a huge mob of students outside their door, looking very angry with them. Or perhaps they checking out their competitors for the upcoming UA Sports Festival.
Ochaco was the first to speak up about the mob, "Um ... why the heck are you all here?!"
Tenya flicked his hand up and gestured to the students outside his classroom door.
"Do you students have some sort of business with our class?"
"Why are you blocking our doorway?" Mineta piped up from behind Tenya. "I won't let you hold us hostage!"
Bakugo scoffs and walks over to the door with his bag lazily strapped over his shoulder. "They're scouting out the competition, idiots. We're the class that survived a real villain attack."
Bakugo continued to antagonize the students outside the classroom, making Izuku chuckle nervously.
"Let's just hope he doesn't explode everybody."
The few students standing close to the door stepped back a little when Bakugo stopped in front of them, a permanent scowl on his face. "At least now you know what a future pro looks like. Now move it, extras."
1-A looked taken aback from Bakugo's rude statement and immediately started to scold him for being so inconsiderate of others' feelings. Well, more like Tenya scolded him for his harsh saying.
Then, a familiar figure with spiked up indigo hair walked to the front of the students with a bubbly [H/C] by his side, saying, "So this is class 1-A. I heard you guys were impressive. But you just sound like an ass."
Bakugo glared daggers at Shinso, who returned the stare.
"Is everyone in the hero course delusional, or just you?"
Bakugo growled under his breath, making his classmates behind him panic.
"How sad to come here and find a bunch of ego maniacs. I wanted to be in the hero course. But like many others here, I was forced to choose a different track. Such is life."
Bakugo resists the urge to roll his eyes.
'Who does this loser think he is?' He thought to himself.
"I didn't cut it the first time around, but I have another chance." Shinso's lips twitched into a tiny smirk. "If any of us do well in the sports festival, the teachers can decide to transfer us to the hero course. And they'll have to transfer people out to make room."
The thought of being replaced so easily scared all the 1-A students. Shinso took a good look around the classroom and hummed lowly. "Scouting the competition? Maybe some of my peers are, but I'm here to let you know that if you don't bring your very best, I'll steal your spot from right under you."
1-A went completely silent and just stared at the random student they'd never even seen before in puzzlement.
[F/N] pops out from behind Shinso and laughs giddily, removing her sunglasses from her eyes. "Wow! That was so badass, Shinso! I liked it."
Shinso looked down to her and resisted the urge to smile in order to look tough in front of class 1-A. "Thanks. I know."
[F/N] stepped in front of Shinso and waved to the students. "Hi, my name's [F/N] [L/N] from the General Department, class 1-C. I'm so happy we get to meet the class 1-A!"
As she went on a giggling rant complimenting class 1-A, both Denki and Mineta couldn't keep their pervy eyes off her.
'She's so cute and happy! Look at that smile!' Denki thought.
'Look at all those curves! So smooth! I wish I could touch her butt.' Mineta thought, drool pooling from his buck tooth mouth.
Shinso took notice and clamped a hand over [F/N]'s mouth before pushing her behind him. "Consider this a declaration of war," He states.
Mineta and Denki both shrink from Shinso's piercing, dead-eyed stare.
'What's his deal?!' They both thought.
Suddenly, a loud voice from the crowd shouted, "Hey you!"
Bakugo looked away from Shinso, taking notice of yet another pissed off peer screaming at him, "I'm from class 1-B next door to you! We heard you fought some villains, and I came to see if that's true! But you're just a bunch of brats who think you're better than us!"
'Crap, everyone hates us now.' Ochaco, Tenya, and Izuku thought at the same time, their shoulders tensing.
[F/N] kept jumping up to look over Shinso's shoulder, saying, "Nah. I don't think they're all brats. Just the hedgehog-looking guy."
Bakugo turned his piercing stare to [F/N], who continued to compare the fuming sandy blonde to other animals, "Actually, he kinda looks like a pomeranian puppy. I wonder if he does tricks. Doggy, sit! Doggy, speak!"
The students surrounding laughed and chuckled. Even some of the students from 1-A stifled a few giggles. Bakugo was boiling with rage. If it had been possible, smoke would've been steaming from his ears. And even though the idea telling off this bouncy girl sounded like the right thing to do to Bakugo, he instead decided to keep his cool—for once in his life.
'I'm better than them. I don't need to give them the satisfaction that they got under my skin.'
He scoffed and shoved past some of the students so he could make his way back home, making Tetsutetsu—the 1-B student—fume in annoyance. "Don't you ignore me!"
But Bakugo did just that.
Soon, all the other class 1-A students left with shameful looks on their faces, saying their excuse me's and sorry's.
Denki had stopped for a moment to start conversation with [F/N], leaning casually against the wall away from the now disbanding students.
"So, your name's [F/N], right? It's a pretty name. My name's Denki Kaminari, but you can call me anytime." He handed her a tiny slip with his phone number and [F/N] laughed sheepishly.
"That's ... great. Thank you, Pikachu."
Denki acted like that comparison didn't strike him in the heart before saying, "Are you ... busy after school? Maybe we can go and get some tea together."
"Uh ..." [F/N] dragged out, seeing Shinso walking back from his visit to the bathroom, looming over Denki dangerously.
"Yeah. She's walking home with me, Casanova."
Denki gulped back the dry lump in his throat before turning to Shinso with a forced laugh. "Hey! Your name was ... Shizou ... Shiza ... uh, Shi-Shinso, right? Haha. That was one hell of a speech you had back there with my class."
Shinso glared at Denki before walking around the surprised pikachu, taking [F/N]'s hand, and pulling her with him—not turning back.
[F/N] glanced over her shoulder to Denki and waved goodbye to him, putting her sunglasses on as she held Shinso's hand back. Denki looked down at their interlocked fingers and tilted his head in confusion. 'Are those two dating? That's so weird! They're like bipolar opposites!'
Denki let out a sigh of disappointment before dragging himself back home. 'Too bad. She was so nice!'
