Ishimaru stood in the kitchen, looking through the fridge and pantry back and forth. He still had no idea what he was going to make for breakfast. He didn't want to go out and get something and there was no way he was going to go ahead and skip the most important meal of the day.
Eventually, Ishimaru gave up and leaned on the counter, facing the wall. The boy suddenly felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist. He leaned back into the other, looking up and giving him a soft smile.
"Mornin'" Mondo mumbled out, pressing his lips against the smaller boy's head.
"Good morning, dear" Ishimaru replied, leaning further into his lover's touch.
Mondo place his head on the other's shoulder, closing his eyes. "Somethin' wrong?" he asked.
"I'm not sure what I should make for breakfast." Ishimaru sighed, glancing around the kitchen.
"How bout' we just sleep till lunch?" Mondo suggested, practically falling asleep on the other.
"Mondo, I'm sorry, but that's an awful idea" he freed himself from Mondo's arms, starting to pace around the kitchen.
The biker ran a hand through his hair, which he was letting fall down to his shoulders. He leaned back against the counter, looking over at a corner. "Shit..."
"What is it?"
"The banana are startin' to get all gross." Mondo sighed, looking at the banana holder in the corner of the counters.
"Oh!" Ishimaru shouted, walking over to the bananas. "Mondo, that's perfect!" He put them on the counter next to the other and started to grab a bowl out of the cabinet.
"What's perfect?" Mondo looked at the bananas his boyfriend had put next to him. Ishimaru didn't say anything. He peeled the bananas and threw them into the bowl and started to mash them together with the fork he had grabbed.
"Mondo, I've decided we're going to make banana bread." Ishimaru stated, turning the oven to 350° F. (175° C)
"Alright, Taka, what do ya need me to do?" the taller asked.
"I need you to get the eggs out" Ishimaru got his loaf pan out and sprayed it with non stick spray.
"M'kay" Mondo mumbled out, getting the eggs.
Ishimaru got a bunch of ingredients out, along with two more bowls. He grabbed the brown sugar and butter and started to stir it together until it blended together. He went up to the other and handed him the bowl. "Here, mix the bananas and two eggs into here." Mondo took the bowl and went over to the counter to do what Ishimaru had told him to do. The shorter of the two started on another mixture, consisting of flour, salt, and baking soda.
Ishimaru looked over to see if Mondo had finished his mixture, which he had. He walked up to the other. "Here, pour that into here." Mondo poured his mixture into the other bowl. The red eyed boy set the mixture down and started to mix them together.
Mondo hovered over the other's shoulder, watching as he mixed the ingredients together and poured it into the pan. The biker grabbed it and opened the oven to place it in. He was immediately scolded by the other for not using the oven mitts to put the bread in the oven. "Taka, s' okay, you only have to do that when ya take it out."
"Mondo, you still might get burned!" Ishimaru exclaimed, his tone displaying worry.
Mondo walked over, wrapping the other in his arms again. This time they were facing each other. "Sorry, I don't mean to worry ya."
Ishimaru looked up at him, face still a bit worried.
"I didn't mean to scare ya, c'mere" the biker let go of the other and started to walk off. Ishimaru set an hour long timer before following his boyfriend to the living room, directly next to the kitchen. The taller flopped onto the couch, holding his arms out for Ishimaru to join him. He walked over to Mondo, sitting next to him.
Mondo sat up, facing the other. He placed his hands on the former hall monitor's face, leaning in to pepper it in small kisses.
Ishimaru laughed softly as Mondo kissed all over his face. "Alright, you're forgiven. I trust you won't be so careless next time." He was suddenly pulled into a hug and could feel the other's face buried in his neck.
"M' tired" Mondo mumbled, starting to fall asleep again.
"You can go back to sleep. It'll be a little while until the bread is ready." Ishimaru reassured, wrapping his arms around the boy in return. He watched as Mondo pulled back and turned around. He was suddenly pushed back a bit as his lover fell back onto him, head under his own.
"S' this okay?"
"Yes, that's fine." Ishimaru answered, starting to play with the other's hair. Mondo slowly drifted off to sleep with the comforting feeling of the smaller boy underneath him.

"Hey, Mondo, wake up, the timer is going off." Ishimaru shook the other, needing to get up. The sleeping boy grunted, slowly opening his eyes before getting up and falling forward on the couch. Ishimaru got up and went to go take the banana bread out of the oven.
Once he made sure it was done and cooled down, he took the loaf out of the pan and placed it onto a plate. "C'mon, Mondo, the bread's ready!" Ishimaru exclaimed, hoping to wake his boyfriend up.
Mondo walking into the kitchen and sat down on a chair, clearly still waking up. "How'd it come out?" he looked up at the other.
"It looks like it came out well." Ishimaru stated, placing a slice of the loaf in front of the other.
"Mhm..." Mondo mumbled, looking at the slice.
Ishimaru sat next to him, a slice about the same size placed on his plate. Mondo's eyes lit up as he took a bite of his own. "Taka, it came out really good." he beamed, looking at the other.
Ishimaru took a bite of his own. "It came out almost perfect." he was feeding off Mondo's excitement added onto his own.
The two finished their bread and had nice Saturday powered by a good breakfast.

Banana Bread is a really nice song, I encourage you to listen to it. (It's the song attached to this chapter)
Banana Bread Recipe I used for this story:
Ingredients:
♡ 2 cups all-purpose flour
♡ 1 teaspoon baking soda
♡ ¼ teaspoon salt
♡ ½ cup butter
♡ ¾ cup brown sugar
♡ 2 eggs, beaten
♡ 2 ⅓ cups mashed overripe bananas
Instructions:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
2) In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
3) Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes.
I'm not sure if you can add walnuts or not (pretty sure you can) but I really like walnuts in my banana bread.
