Chapter  6 | A sick game called love |

Wake up

Wake up

Wakeup

I can give you all the power, just wake up adya

I teach you what you have storing, begging to come out

WAKE UP.

His deep voice was just like the storm that was brewing before I went to sleep, waiting to hit. I jolted out of my sleep to find the man I saw before. His eyes were the storm, grey orbed that bore intensely into my own, hazel ones. I've never seen him so clear as a halo of light cascaded around him seizing any darkness away, the darkness that always hid him in the shadows and his tall, dark silhouette playing with my imagination. This man, the man that stands was beautiful. Sharp but soft nose, stubble running across his jaw and above his plump and pink lips. This shadow of a man was beyond this realm, too perfect to be real.

I don't know what came over me but my fears washed away as we kept looking at each other, even as he walked closer to me, as he stretched his hand out, even as his roughly padded thumb roamed over my bottom lip. Gasping in, I started from his thumb and backed up. I could move this time around. I ask him the question that has been on my mind the last few days, the thing that's making its way into me and dominions relationship, putting a wedge between us so far apart it feels as though we're in completely different countries.

"Is this real?'' my voice came out stronger than I expected. The man cocked his head to the side as if considering if he should answer.

"Why wouldn't it be, Adya" he smiled. I was about to open my mouth for a second question but again, the pad of his thumb brushed over my mouth as a silent prayer to be quite and so i did, waiting for whatever had to be said.

"You are just as beautiful as the flower you picked in the meadow all those years ago, even more so. Stronger than any knight in your army, braver than the villain you seek to kill. You are unbelievable in more ways than one.'' he bent down and kissed my lips. Closing my eyes and accepting his soft lips just as soon as it was there it was gone. Opening my eyes the man who stands was gone. Just like that as if none of it ever happened.

That morning I woke up in my bed having no recollection of ever getting out of thatchers rooms and into my own. But it wasn't about that, it was about the kiss i had with that man. I know for sure it wasn't a dream. It had to be completely real. I felt his lip descend upon mine. An intimate passion of which could only lead me to believe this is real he was real. A dream could not have revealed a drive a such.

My fingers found its way upon my lips. I could still feel it, his lips upon mine as if it just happened. Looking out to the floor length windows the sun shone so brightly,  taking away any trace of darkness that could have still lingered in my room. It reminded me of the halo that cascaded around the man who seemed to be the duskiness that stayed by my side.

Out into the daylight, two birds flew around each other playfully, lovingly even. It brought back memories of his smile, the hand that roamed across my cheek ever so slowly. All I know is that it couldn't have been a dream because dreams don't feel that real, at least it's not supposed to.

My thoughts were interrupted by the creek of my door. A voice appeared. Deep, hypnotic, smooth, and rasp.

"Addy we need to talk about whatever this is." I didn't turn to know who that voice belonged to. Closing my eyes I listened to him speak his voice like a lullaby.
