Violet Blake POV
Opening night was a huge success. The club made more money than I have ever had in my bank account at one time. "We're gonna be rich bitches!" exclaimed Shay as Scar was counting the money in the register and the boys were counting the money they got thrown at them. "No fuckin' way, I got a fifty dollar bill!!" yelled Rocky in excitement. "Of course you did Rocky, you're hot and smooth as fuck." I told him nonchalantly as I sipped my champagne. "So what motivated you guys to want to open a male strip club anyway?" Easton asked Scarlett and I. We both stayed silent for a moment, Scar and I looking at each other and communicating with our eyes to decide if we should tell the boys.
*Flashback*
I was laying my head on Charlie's lap as we were in Scarlett's garage along with our friends Madison and Luke. It was about four a.m and we were watching 'The Interview' one of the funny movies we all love. "Vi I'm starving! Can you please take us to McDonalds?" Madison whined. Through out all of high school Scarlett, Charlie, Madison, Luke and I were an inseperable group of best friends. Despite Charlie and Luke being boys, we were always allowed to have sleepovers because everyone knew we were all best friends and that's all.
We all spent every day together, going to the beach, watching movies, driving around, or getting drunk, all the normal things teenagers would do. "Oh my god yes! Please Vi I'll buy you a McFlurry!" Luke butted in begging me along with Madison. They always bug me to drive because they know I will give in and say yes no matter what. We all hopped into my old Jeep Cherokee and I started the drive to McDonalds. Scarlett sat alongside me in the passenger seat playing music as Madison, Luke, and Charlie were sitting in the back. It was pitch black outside and I was exhausted, but I was very focused on driving. The light was yellow, but Charlie insisted I sped up rather than slow down, which was the biggest mistake of all of our lives.
I listened to Charlie and sped up, but the light had turned red and another turned green as I went through the intersection. A semi truck hit the back right side of my car, causing it to flip. I got knocked out, but woke up to see my windshield shattered, blood everywhere, and everyone upside down. I started uncontrollably sobbing and fought my way out of the car. I heard sirens in the distance, on their way to help. I ran to the passenger side and managed to pull Scar out of the car. The right side of the back seat was so dented in there was no way I could of opened it. Scar was bleeding from her head and was unconscious.
Everyone else was unconscious as well and as I attempted to get the back seat left door open the ambulances arrived. I had survived with a concussion, bruised ribs, and some cuts from the glass of my broken windshield. Scarlett survived as well with a concussion and a fractured arm. Madison had died on impact because she was closest to the right side of the car. Luke had died soon after getting into the hospital from internally bleeding. Charlie had slipped into a coma, but they ended up pulling the plug on him a couple of months later because he was never going to wake up. I had killed my best friends.
It was all my fault and Scarlett took some of the blame. Scarlett blames herself because we were at her house and if she hadn't of just said no to leaving everything would have been different. The accident happened summer going into our senior year. We were just two girls full of guilt and remorse who had believed we killed our best friends. Everyone at school hated us and would say horrible things like we purposely did it or that we are murderers. We stopped talking to everyone around us except for each other.
It was about a year until all of their parents invited us over for a talk. They had told us that Madison, Charlie, and Luke would never want us to blame ourselves. They said it was an accident; no body's fault. They said that accidents happen all of the time. They explained that our friends would want us to be happy and live our lives. Especially Charlie would want us to live our lives to the fullest, considering that's what he always said we should do.
*End of Flashback*
Scarlett and I explained everything that happened to us and our friends to the boys. We felt they have the right to know considering they are becoming like a family to us. They all sat quietly and politely, listening intently, nodding when necessary. "And so that is what motivated us to open Star World. When Luke, Madison, and Charlie were alive we always said we were going to do something big with our lives together. We all wanted to be together forever and be successful." Scarlett explained to the boys.
The boys all gave us their condolences and told us that it wasn't our faults. We now know it was not entirely our faults, but we still do take partial blame and we will always live with survivors guilt. I would have trade places with any of them if it meant they got to live. "Luke would always say 'I want us to live in a star world' we never really would understand what he meant. Charlie believed he meant with celebrities, but that was just Charlie being Charlie. Madison would always agree with Luke and say 'in a world of stars, we'll all make it there'. Now, Scar and I choose to believe that they are all in Star World together.
I know a male strip club isn't the ideal thought they had of success, but I know they would be proud of us." I told them, thinking back to the times with my old friends. "Yeah, we named this place Star World for them. I hope they're watching over us right now and laughing because we named a strip club for them. I bet Luke and Charlie would definitely wanna be strippers here too." Scar said with a laugh, a single tear slipping out of her eye at the thought of our dead best friends. We all hung out at Star World until about five a.m. We got to know each other even more and I love spending time with the boys. No one will ever replace Madison, Luke, or Charlie, but they can be added to a special place in my heart. As we were leaving, Riley asked us, "But wait, how did you guys even afford to buy this place and open it up?"
Author's Note: Hi! I hope you guys are enjoying it, I know it may be slow at first, but trust me it will get better.
