EDEN ABRELL
A WEEK AND A HALF LATER
I jolted up at the sound of my alarm.
I sighed and rubbed my forehead, turning off my alarm. I flop my body back down, laying down for a few more minutes.
I heard my ringtone blare from my phone and I unenthusiastically turn my head to stare at my phone.
I groaned, picking up my phone and glaring at it. I answer the call and press the phone to my ear.
"What?" I sneered grumpily.
A deep, throaty chuckle sounded on the other end. "Good morning to you too, my stunning."
I felt my irritation fade into nothing and I smiled giddily. "Hi, Huxley."
"How are you this morning?" His calm deep voice asked me.
"Well, I was annoyed when you called me because I just woke up," I smiled cheekily. "But then I realised it was you and I was in a good mood again."
"I'm a lucky man," Huxley said.
"What do you mean?" I asked, genuinely confused.
"I'm the reason the most beautiful and amazing girl in the whole world, is happy." He told me.
His words made me smile. "I'm a lucky woman. I have an amazing, handsome man by my side and I love him so much."
"I love you so much, Eden." His reply struck every chord in my heart and made them swell with love.
"I miss you." I sighed.
I heard him sigh, "Are your parents home?"
"No." I sighed. "They just left for another business trip."
"I'm sorry, Eden. I know how much you miss them when they go." He spoke to me gently.
"Travelling is in their job description with owning an international cooperation. I've gotten used to it." I said and pick at my nails.
"Can I come over, Eden?" He asked me.
"And then inside me," I smirked and bit my lip at the sultry remark as I absentmindedly traced shapes into my blanket.
"Don't tease me, Eden," He said as he cleared his throat.
"I wasn't teasing, Huxley," I whispered.
"Fuck me," He mumbled under his breath.
