Hela was helping Heather brush her hair in a big and messy braid.

-I'm not really good at this Heather.

-Just do as I told you. You know I'd do it myself but its probably the only thing I can't do to my own hair.

-Hey stay put!

-I can't! you're tickling me.

-Here? - Hela tickled Heather just below her ear where the braid was.

-Stop it! I hate youuuuu!

-Yeah right.

The two of them sat in Heather's bed again gathering the courage to get up and go to class.

-Come on, Professor McGonagall doesn't allow us being late. I don't want her to transform me into a cat. - Heather pulls Hela by the hand.

-----

-Psssst Hela? - Max whispered silently rushing towards her desk.

The class was attended at a different room since the pages the Professor assigned were mostly reading and studying it at their own way. The following week's test involved the material mentioned in those pages.

-Shhhh what do you want?

-I need your help in this assignment..please. - he pouted begging her.

-Fine but whisper I don't want to be smacked.

-The dark bat is quite fond of you to do that.

As soon Max finishes the sentence a book is smacked against the wooden desk making the boy flinch.

-The task that was assigned isn't good enough for you Mr.Quentin? - Professor Snape's contained yet strong tone asked sending Max shivers up his spine.

-I'm sorry Sir.

-Study..quietly! - he said getting the book he was reading from the table and walking away.

-You're lucky it wasn't your head.

-No, I am lucky he didn't't hear me. God knows what he'd do to me. - Max hide his face from Professor Snape behind his arm pretending to study.

-Tell me what do you need.

-Oh right, you see this instruction here? I don't get it.

-Well first you must read the note down here. It tells you what this, here, means.

-I hadn't seen that.

-Yeah I noticed. - Hela quietly chuckled. - Now you search about this ingredient so you're sure what it does. And only then you'll know what the instruction means.

-Thanks. - Max started following Hela's tips only to stumble upon a problem again.

-Hel...?

-What?

-Have you read this one?

-Yeah why?

-Did you understand it?

-Yes, you didn't?

-No

-Here. - Hela patiently explained the excerpt Max was struggling with.

-You're my life saver Hel. - he kisses her cheek and sneaks to his desk.

-Vaughn? - Penelope Montgomery sat by her side.

-Penelope?

-Can you do me a favor?

-Depends.

-On what?

-If I can help.

Penelope gets closer to Hela with a serious expression.

-We're pure bloods.

-So?

-So we both understand the need to reassure our sovereignty, so, why are you always hanging out with mudbloods like Westwood and Quentin? I really don't get it. - she places her hand on Hela's shoulder.

-Well Penelope, first you're wrong about me because, to me there's no such thing as 'true blood lines being superior to any other blood kinds' and so I don't care if my friends are descendants of normal humans, Muggles. Because they can swing a wand and perform a spell as good as "us", sometimes better. You know why? Because the blood doesn't matter, the character does. - Hela gives her a fake smile.

-Dear I appreciate your loyalty towards your friends I really do. That's why I think we could be the strongest duo here. Once you think about it, you may change your mind and come to agree with me. - she smiled trying to create some empathy between them.

A cold gust of wind made Hela shiver, only then she felt the authoritative presence placing a hand on her shoulder not allowing her to say what she wanted.

Penelope sat quiet while Snape bent down to Hela's level - Detention for you Ms.Vaughn.

-Bu- Hela got cut out.

-It's the second time your chatting disturbs my class. See me in my room after dinner. - he walked away and Penelope faked a sympathetic face before walking away too.

'Great, simply awesome' Hela thought laying her head in her book.
