Yeah I lied about angst-
Tw: attempted suicide, sad thoughts, mentioned abuse.

Don't worry, it gets better! Also that creature is a Wendigo, I see it in my nightmares-

Human au
Wrong Number au

Usually I don't do this, but here's Remy.

No POV

Remy couldn't do it anymore.

His parents had the last straw and kicked him out of his apartment when he came out as gay. As if looking like a girl wasn't enough.

Remy sighed as he slid the sleeves of his jacket over his arms, grabbing his phone as he head out of his house. Luckily, his parents were on a trip, so he didn't run into them.

Which also meant he avoided getting a beating.

He shivered from the cold wind that hit him as he started jogging to a Starbucks nearby.

Hey, might as well get a coffee before he ends it, right?

When he got to the shop, he quickly greeted the cashier, Patton, he thinks his name is, and got his usual frappe (with extra vanilla, 4 shots, 2 pumps of fudge, whipped cream, 2 pumps of caramel).

He paid, sat down, and thought about his life so far.

He almost missed when his coffee got set in front of him.

He shot Patton a tired smile, to which Patton gave him a happy one. He got up, gave Patton a tip, and asked him if he could tell Roman, Logan, and Virgil he said bye.

Patton agreed, confused, and Remy gave Patton a hug goodbye.

Patton was extremely confused after Remy left.

Remy got to the bridge. If he were to fall from the railing, not only would he hit the ground and die, his body would flout down the stream below the bridge. So if he survived the fall, he would drown.

He sighed.

He grabbed his phone, and got on contacts.

He found Thomas's name and tapped it, shooting him a quick goodbye.

'???' Was his response.

He didn't need to tell Roman, Virgil, or Logan bye, Patton would tell for him.

He didn't bother to keep his mother or fathers contact, so he had to call them to tell them goodbye.

The phone rung...

They picked up.

Before the person on the other line could say anything, Remy spoke.

"Hey mom, I know I shouldn't bother you or dad right now, but I called to say goodbye. You're probably really confused, or mad, but I'll shed some light on it. I'm committing suicide. I'm gonna jump off this bridge and end it. You and dad are probably going to celebrate, so I made a cake, it's in the fridge. I'm probably wasting your time, so I'll hang up now-" He got cut off.

The person on the other line was not his mother, or father.

"Excuse me, I'm sorry, you have the wrong number, but please don't hang up, I need to know you're safe, please tell me you're location." A worried and sweet voice was talking to him.

Remy's breathing hitched.

He, with great hesitation, told him his location.

Remy, after waiting a minute, got back to the other side of the railing.

Well, he tried. The wind hit him with a greater impact, and pushed him, successfully knocking him off the edge.

He gasped sharply, and shut his eyes.

...

He stopped falling.

He looked up at what stopped him.

He saw a man holding his wrist from the railing, he was crying heavily, making his glasses fog up quite a bit.

Remy let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, and let this mystery man pull him back over the railing.

He started crying, and hugged the man that saved him, who hugged him back tighter.

When they pulled away, mystery man spoke first.

"My name is Emile Picani, I'm a therapist, and I think you could use my help."

Remy agreed, and started visiting him.

It's a few years later, and if you asked Remy or Picani if they regret picking up the phone or calling, they would both say no.

I mean, who regrets meeting their significant other? Not them.
