CHAPTER 6- Ayo

"Explain" I asked as calmly as I could afford, which is not much right now.  Nobody's talking, they all are looking down scratching their heads but one idiot kept looking at me in the eye
He has the gall??
"Mister, do you have anything to say??

"No"

"It's No Sir, to you. The head of your department..."

"Ayo please calm down, I am calm. Too calm We just called the Spin department they will be here soon Chioma countered

"Where is He?" I continued

"He's absent" rude

"Obviously"  I fired back, this is not the first time shit like this is happening, not the second either, I hit the desk. How dumb is your boss on the scale of 1- 10" I asked him directly answer me"

"Am sorry I can't answer that question" 

"A 10 then"

Staring at each and everyone of them sitting in the conference room
"What the fuck is happening, I sneered. this is Star Boy, I stay away from bad press as much as I can, you have like zero workload here but the little.... I have you guys take care of goes down the drain"

I looked around the U-shaped office meeting room, sitting at the head of the table I could see everyone of them I knew the media department head was absent the moment I stepped into the office as early as 7 this morning  I better not set my eyes on him before I leave.

Waking up to calls from Martins and Jada is no way to start a morning, especially Martins, he should remedy that voice course he might just end someone's hearing one of this days

Apparently, the Head of media department, Ex head of media department. perhaps, who unfortunately manages my Social media account didn't see it necessary to check with me or Jada and decided to post rubbish on social media

Few days ago he posted a picture of me in my private jet hinting at going to London for Tiwa Savage's concert did I mention i was already in Nigeria when the picture was taken? With the Hashtag #Londonalltheway I let that slid and have been laying low, now the VERY stupid guy has done it all, His posted another picture of me in New York for a concert(that I can't even remember when) and captioned "In London" Hashtag #Tiwaalltheway Who does that??

New York? London? Really?? I mentally cringed

Unfortunately, what bothers me more is the Hashtag Tiwaalltheway? Some kinda movement or charity I don't know of? His certainly fired. his been there for too long and caused too much complications

"Hashtag Tiwaalltheway?? I whispered loud enough to be heard the tension in the room eased as they tried to stifle their laugher.

I smirked. "let's refrain from tacky Hashtag or no harshtag at all I hate them what with him and all the way, Anyway?"

They roared in laugher. These people are like my second family they fuck up YES. but this is Star Boy, it means a lot to me and so do they

"The media department will handle this" Chioma chipped in,

"The media will be having your head for breakfast and you are worried about Hashtags??" Jada said in frustration

I shugged. "#Londonalltheway? #Tiwaalltheway? Fire that asshole"

"We are allowing BAMCELEB to take it viral, Chioma started. since she was the first to get the news before it....."

"She was the first? How?" I asked

"Well.... Chioma cleared her throat.  before the post was vetted a staff shared it with her AGAIN" she emphasized

"For how much?"

"700k" Jada answered

"How much is he paid monthly"

"Without housing and travel...."

"Travel?? A senior staff, Yes?"

"Almost, in all he earns a little over 500k minus wardrobe allowance"

"Fair... Call BAMCELEB let her know she's got a new reporter Fire his ass"
Yes they are Family but I still fire their asses. Family is loyal but when they are not? I let them join the Unemployment market it only fair

"Why don't we buy it back from her?" Martin asked calmly Thank God

"Because we can't be one of her puns, let her do it. Chioma answered if that owkay with you AYO"

"Everyone turned to look at me many pairs of eyes actually, this is the fun part of being the Boss Martins looks like he already having a bad day (tell me about it) Jada and Chioma? No they look like they just stepped off a runway  how they found time for makeup this morning is beyond me.

"Do what's best" I do trust them I replied finally relaxing on my chair.

The door to the conference room clink opened, everyone turned to look at the door (lol) I didn't. Be course? That how stars do

"Manuel where have you been?" Chioma asked

"Obviously I was pretending to be busy, so I would miss this meeting"

"Igbo winch" I said as I gave him my middle without turning to look at him

"Yoruba Demon" he replied laughing heartily

"It Him?" It was her voice!!!  I love the sound of it.

"His the one right?" There was this glee in it she was happy  oddly I wanted to see how I affect her, no I mean as a Star you know? I wanted to..... you all know what I mean
I swivelled my chair to her direction in slow motion smiling. somebody play that indian song (lol)
