*Paula's POV*
The idol finale was great! The kid who won was amazing! Simon showed up, and it was like old times. We all picked on Ryan for being the only one still on the show. Now we're at the after party and Simon and I are talking in a corner alone, Lauren didn't come with him, "it's so great to see you! You look so beautiful!"

"You look old, and fat! Dang, what happened to your healthy lifestyle," I joke with him!

"I had a kid! That's what happened," I bite my tongue to keep from yelling at him.

"I told Randy about our kids! They're almost 9, you know," I smile lightly.

"How are they? Still with that family," Simon ask nonchalantly?

I sigh, "no, they tossed them aside after having their own!"

"Oh, I love this song," he says changing the subject. I let him because I don't want to fight.

"Do you wanna dance," I ask?

"Paula, we can't! You know we can't! What will everyone say," Simon says critically.

"Aww, how sweet? Just like old times," I sigh. "No one knows about us! No one cares anymore," I persuade him.

"Okay, but you can't kiss me," Simon jokes. I shake my head laughing and we walk out to the dance floor. "You know why I like this song," He ask as we sway to the music. I look at him, waiting for his explanation, "It reminds me of us!" I take a staggering breath as I look at him expectantly, "because we could never actually be together, even though our love is so strong," we continue sway as I listen to the lyrics.

"We could have, if you had stuck around! We could've made it work," I say placing my head on his shoulder.

"Maybe, just maybe," he says kissing the top of my head. "I have no doubt that we would've tried our hardest to make it work!" I smile into his chest as we continue to sway. Soon the song changes and we still stand in the middle of the floor in our own world. Sway back and forth talking and catching up.

"Paula, about earlier..." Simon hesitates and I lean back to look at him, but he pulls me back to him. "Do you know how the children are doing? Are they well," Simon ask concern dripping from every word.

"They're great Simon! Remember how we thought it was 2 girls and a boy. It's to boys and a girl! They're in a group home, it's a nice place. I've been there, they apparently don't spend a lot of time there. The parents are good nice people," Paula smiles.

"Have you met them," Simon ask quizzically?

"No, every time I go they're either at practice or at a game or recital or a friends house," Paula shrugs.

"Do you think they know that you're their mother and are hiding," Simon ask?

"No, their parents never told them and the group home doesn't know. They really are just busy kids. They have pictures on the wall from different birthdays, ballgames and recitals. They're in good hands," Paula smiles.

"What are their names," Simon ask barely above a whisper, sounding as if he's going to cry.

"Ramsey James, Chrisleigh Cheyanne, and Saylor Christian. From what I've heard they're great kids. Very helpful and really sweet to the younger kids," I smile, pulling away to look at him. Simon looks into my eyes and leans in to kiss me. I accept the kiss and kiss him back, all the time worrying about everyone else who could be watching.

Simon pulls away and smiles at me, "You look so beautiful tonight!"

"Simon, you're drunk. Come on, let's go sit down, everyone is starting to stare at us," I say grabbing his hand and walking toward our table.
