Her Life Was Falling Apart

Diary Entry Three

The next day at school I arrived earlier than usual to see if I could catch Halsey on her way in. After searching Lauren's locker yesterday and see all the pictures of them together I wanted to know how close they really were actually.

Spotting her car pulling up I quickly made my way to the parking lot to see if I could actually talk to her alone. If she knew anything I knew she wouldn't say anything around anybody else. I knew I'd have to talk to her in private and that is what I'm going to do. Walking up to her car I quickly got in and of course made my presence immediately known.

"Dinah Jane what the heck are you doing in my car!?" She screamed.

I smiled as I pulled out a picture of her and Lauren together. "I wanted to talk to you about Lauren Jauregui." I said. Halsey shook her head and rolled her eyes. "Look I don't know what happened ok? I barely knew the girl." She said. I raised an eyebrow "really because from the tons of pictures you two had together you seemed pretty close." I said. "What happened?"

Halsey sighed "ok fine we dated while she was with Brad but it never felt right. We were just better as friends. I love Lauren but the girl has tons of problems that she never told anyone about. Not me or Normani." She says. "I know nothing other then she came to my house the night before she went missing to give me this necklace."

Noticing that the necklace had the same diamond the ring in Lauren locker had I knew I had to look more into this. "Why did she give you that?" I asked. "She said that she wanted me to have something that would remind me of her when she was gone." Ashley says. "I wasn't sure why until she went missing." I nodded "what do you know about Lucy and Lauren?" I asked.

Ashley's eyes turned dark as she glared at her steering wheel. "That bitch is the biggest faker in the world! She was never Lauren's friend because friends don't do what she did." She rants. "Ever!"

After my talk with Halsey I knew I'd have to talk to Lucy but honestly I knew I couldn't do that until she wasn't glued to Brad's side so I'd have to wait until I could get her alone. Shaking my head I sat in the back of the library again and opened up the next page of Lauren's diary.

Entry Three,
I think Brad is insecure of my friendship with Mani. He thinks that we are messing around behind his back but he's wrong. She's not the one I'm secretly with. The one I'm with is Ashley because unlike him she actually understands me.

Brad doesn't try to understand me. He doesn't care about how I feel or what my thoughts are he just wants to fuck and make out but I'd rather sit and have a conversation with someone. Granted I do like sex but having sex with Brad is such a fucking chore. I don't like it and I've told him that but he just says "oh you're a girl and girls don't like sex." Which is so far from the truth. I do like sex I just don't like it with you Brad.

Noticing the way she talked about Brad and how much he loved sex really made me piece together what him and Lucy did to Lauren. If Lucy and Lauren were such good friends why would she sleep with her friend's boyfriend? Why would she pull the ultimate betrayal on Lauren? Why would Lucy cross the line like that?
