So this could be Dazai focused or Chuuya focused. Probably dazai as I wanted it to be as close at the original as possible.

Anyways, if it's dazai-focused, then of course it'll be about him and the aftermath of Odasaku's death. I mean, the lyrics fit perfectly. And I guess the line where it says "I love you" doesn't have to mean in a romantic way. It could mean that because of him, dazai learned to love and thus learned to appreciate him. But then again, the word used for love was "koi", which is more typically used for more romantic purposes rather then "daisuki", which is a more general term.
And I know that there's already amv that has oda and dazai but that's more like the whole arc instead of the aftermath of it.
Moving on, if it were Chuuya-focused, then it's soukoku all the way! It'll be about Chuuya's thoughts when dazai left the port mafia. Like, even if they say they hate each other, they do have some sort of bond. Or so the hardcore shippers say. Also, dazai probably cares about him as well, as seen when he intervened when he knew that the sheep were only using Chuuya for his ability. (I mean, so does the mafia but some people actually care about him, Kōyō as an example)
And yeah, the other stuff is pretty explanatory.
