Jackie Walker always hated to be indoors. Growing up she was always found outside wether it was snowing, raining, or windy. Her grandmother would always tell her how different she was from her mom when it came to this. Her mom would always be at the mall, leaving trails of clothes she recently bought through the house, while Jackie leaves trails of mud from messes she got into on her latest adventure. Her father was where she got the adventurous personality from as he was always traveling the world, which is how he met Jackie's mom.William Walker was a British man who fell in love with American Olivia Davis. Somehow he convinced her to come back to London and move in with him. Their friends all thought she was crazy, but she was in love and didn't want that feeling to end. They had Jackie and a perfect cookie cutter life. And then they didn't.
Jackie was 10 when her parent's flight crashed on their way home from the states. Elizabeth Davis had Jackie pick up everything she had and move all the way to America to be with her. It was a challenging change for the both of them and the strange things Jackie seemed to be able to do didn't make it any easier, but neither where going to run away and did their best to except this new normal.
When Jackie turned eleven her and Elizabeth were very surprised when she received a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Jackie was relieved that there was something to explain all the weird things that happened to her, but her grandmother thought it was some joke because witches couldn't exist. It wasn't till Dumbledore payed the two a visit and explained everything to them that Elizabeth accepted the fact.
On Jackie's first day of school Elizabeth was very nervous, but tried her best to not show it, sending her granddaughter a tight lipped smile . The two hadn't been apart for very long since Jackie's parent's passing and Elizabeth couldn't imagine what she would do without the little troublemaker keeping her busy. Jackie didn't know what she would do without her grandmother there to bandage up all her injuries that she seemed to have almost everyday.
Jackie had her skateboard to remind her of home though. As she settled into a compartment of the Hogwarts Express she admired the lone sticker of the Beatles on the back of her deck that her grandmother had given her right before she left.
