The pounding was heard from the door Atticus shot up letting go of Eleanor. Eleanor rubbed her eyes seeing it was still dark outside she quickly followed Atticus. The door opened showing a man he seemed nervous. "Alpha there is an attack by another pack." He only nodded leaving Eleanor. The door closed in front of her. She huffed looking in her shoe she found a weapon she hid in there she quickly put her shoes on and left.

People running trying to get somewhere safe. Women protecting their children. Wolves growled at the men trying to protect the women and children. Eleanor was quick to protect a child running blocking an attack from the wolf. She winced as the wolf bit into her arm. "Close your eyes." The child covers its eyes. She pushed the wolf onto its back slitting the throat of it. She picked up the child running from the scene.

"Mama!" The child yelled seeing its mother. The mother ran noticing Eleanor.

"Thank you." The woman cried taking her child. Eleanor nodded leaving them.

The aftermath left Eleanor bloody she was injured but still killed many wolves. She sighed making her way back to the house. Atticus was already at his house looking for her he seemed panic fearing the worst. He couldn't find her scent anywhere. Eleanor saw the house she knocked on the door. Atticus opened the door hugging Eleanor. She was stiff surprised at the contact. "Are you hurt?" She nodded hugging him back. She liked him holding her close she did it back to comfort him. He let her go grabbing her arm. He was angry that a wolf did this to her he didn't like anyone touching her. She winced a little.

"The wolf who did this is he dead?" Eleanor nodded noticing his eyes were black. He picked her up taking her to his room. She left his arms sitting on the bathroom counter. He picks a random shirt for her to wear. She took a short shower washing the blood off of her. A knock was heard she opened the door with a towel on. She noticed the shirt in his hand she grabbed it quickly. She changed putting on the shirt she noticed it went to her knees. She looked for Atticus seeing him in the big kitchen. He held a cup in his hand Eleanor panicked knowing what it is she shook her head. Atticus growled knowing it would be a struggle.

"Your wound will heal if you just have a sip of it." Again Eleanor shook her head trying to get away from him. He got closer to her cornering her. She covered her mouth so she wouldn't get the liquid.

"Your bleeding again." Eleanor moved her arm away from her mouth to look at the bleeding. Atticus grabbed her other arm moving it away kissing her on the lips. She gasped tasting blood in her mouth. He pulled away smirking at her. She turned around mad.

"Drink it." His voice was stern like telling a child to do something. It took Eleanor a minute to drink the blood. She crossed her arms looking at Atticus. He only chuckled grabbing her hand he looked at her arm. The wound was almost done healing by now.

"Was it that bad?" Eleanor nodded taking her hand away. She crossed her arms again still mad. She never really showed it but ignoring him was enough to understand. He seemed dazed again he was back looking at her a little surprised.

"Did you kill all the wolves? Most are dying fast being stabbed by silver bleeding out." Eleanor nodded nervously at what he is trying to get. Atticus wondered how she did that most of the wolves were strong even killing some of his men. Eleanor got up feeling tired she left the kitchen seeing a couch she plopped herself on it sleeping. Atticus kissed her forehead leaving again to his packhouse.

The packhouse was filled with many feared looks on their faces. Atticus watch as many chattered some shocked some crying hugging their children. Many did not notice his mate only a couple of pack members. It soon turned quiet when everyone noticed their Alpha. A woman spoke telling him that this human woman saved her child from a wolf. He only listens to the people who said they saw her. Telling her that she was ruthless when killing a werewolf. Many shivered at that knowing someone could kill so easily. One spoke up out of the crowd. "She should be taken down!" Atticus was quick to defend.

"Has she hurt anyone in our pack?" Everyone shook their heads knowing it wasn't the stranger for the injured pack members had claw and bite marks. He continued.

"Then you shouldn't be afraid." Chatter was back again after he spoke. The members were calm just chatting at what happened a few moments ago. Atticus' second in command looked at him weirdly he only brushed it off leaving them shortly after.

The sun rose the creatures of the night hide away from the light. Waking up a sleepy Eleanor from her nap. She sighed looking around where she was. A door open making Eleanor panicked she hide behind the couch. "Atticus?" A man's voice was heard. Eleanor held her breath not making a sound. The man looked in the room where she was. She tried to control her heartbeat. He stopped at the couch sniffing the air.

"Another girl..." He mumbled at first.

"I know your hear just come out no one will hurt you." Eleanor brought her hand out showing her finger shaking it. Atticus called her name going into the room. She showed her head looking at him. The man crossed his arms looking angry.

"You got some explaining to do." Atticus only sighed going to the couch.

"I can't be with something that is mine?" His face changed upon hearing that. Eleanor watched the man seeing if he will attack.

"You can come out." Eleanor slowly took herself out watching the man. Atticus noticed Eleanor's tension she was waiting for him to attack do something. She plopped herself on the couch furthest away from the man. Atticus demeanor changed into more dominant while he was in front of her.

"So this is your mate?"

"Yeah." Instantly the man was confused he paced the room trying to piece things together.

"What about Lauren?" Eleanor perked up hearing that name knowing who she was but the memory of last seeing her made her look down. Atticus didn't know what to say he was confused also. Introductions were fast because Eleanor did not trust him. Noah. After that attack, she was on eggshells and mad at Atticus. She was quiet hearing the boys talk drinking her coffee.

"Eleanor, how is it with Atticus." She looked up shrugging not knowing what to say. Atticus cut in knowing she was mad at him.

"She is distant but I know I have been getting through." Eleanor crossed her arms looking at Atticus. He smirked at her. She took another sip of her coffee wanting to flip him off. She looked away mad.

"I can see that."

"You made me drink your blood." Eleanor finally spoke for the first time in a while to Atticus.

"I did that so you can heal, the bite looked deep." She looked away not answering. Noah couldn't hold in his laugh watching the two was entertaining. Atticus took her arm showing her the bite was gone.

"If you didn't drink it then your wound wouldn't be healed." She sighed knowing it was true.

"I see."
